About Dutch's return: If he does return, I don't think he and Hawk will interact. What does he have to teach Hawk (relating to his redemption arc) that he hasn't learned already? When he reunites with Daniel and Johnny however, I really hope he isn't all "I've been redeemed" ... that's boring and it's been done to death at this point--We already have a 'Barnes.' I'd want him to be a lovable dirtbag... pathetic in his middle age, with maybe a screw or two loose, but someone who’s loyal, doesn’t take crap from anyone, and lives on his own terms. In the end, I can see Dutch sticking his neck out for Daniel and Johnny (in his own way) by doing something reckless that nobody else is willing to do. Doesn’t have to be a big, endgame gesture, but something subtle. Like you said: a loose cannon. Though, that’s just baseless speculation.

Ehhh, mixed feelings on this one. Had they brought him back earlier in the series, it may have been interesting. I am not sure there's really a point to bringing him back now. On a side note, when the original Karate Kid movie came out, Chad McQueen was a legit Tang Soo Do black belt. In fact, Pat Johnson ( the referee in the tournament) was his instructor.

Dutch and Silver as cell mates. Dutch has completely changed and leads silver on a redemption path. Silver uses his resources to get Dutch paroled who takes Jonny’s place as sensei of eagle fang when his child is born

I kind of agree for a weird reason. In of the episodes in season 6 they bring up Dutch again for absolutely no reason and Johnny again says he's in jail. That line is in there for a reason. I think he'll be back at some point

People have suggested that Dutch is Tory's father, as Aunt Kandace said she "has a temper, just like your old man", and it would explain why her father is "out of the picture", but if that were the case, I think Johnny would have recognized her as "Dutch's kid" when she came into the dojo in S2.

maybe Dutch sees Terry Silver in jail, and tries to attack Terry (after realizing that Terry is the financer of Cobra Kai). Eventually, Terry gets moved to another part of the prison (for his safety/due to his connections). And Terry eventually gets out of prison (altogether), due to his money/connections.

Some things, on those sheets, might hint at the Sekai Taikai taking place in SPAIN!? At least, that's what he thinks. Maybe you'd wanna tjeck out his video, and do a counter-part video of your own. That is, only IF you think differently from him :-) I kinda was HOPING they'd have the Sekai Taikai in Japan/Korea, but some things on those call-sheets might indicate, that Spain is the place, hmm.

Somewhere in a jail scene where he stumbles upon Kreese if he is recaptured or with Terry Silver, who used his wealth and connection to get Kreese's old student sentence commuted and gives him a job as his new instructor or bodyguard or something. I would love to see him and the other OG Cobras, including Aisha return to help out Daniel and Johnny and crew. Full redemption arch for all the original Cobras! BOOM!

The reality is there were some scenes with Dutch left on the cutting room floor. Of all of the to Cobra Kai's his acting was next level. I think the more limited role he ended up playing was to keep him from stealing the show.

Dutch always fascinated me! ...he scared me more than Johnny! and also for much of the movie there was a mystique about him, because he's kindve off in the background, many of the pictures you see it's only the 4 of them!.....you don't see him much until the tournament! and he has this intensity, like he hates Daniel more than Johnny!....and also Dutch seemed to be the most indifferent to Kreese!......when Kreese almost killed Johnny, while the other guys tried to help, Dutch just turned his back!........I've always felt that Dutch might have once been one of Johnnys bullies!.....and Johnny learns karate, kicks his ass....Dutch is like "how'd you do that?" so he gets him into cobra kai and they become friends?

I am not sure that would fly with the fans. It may be interesting, but it wouldn't be enough to appeal to the wider fan base, many of whom are genx or older. We didn't even know Steve McQueen had a grandson, and if we did, we don't want to be reminded that we are old enough to have grandchildren who are (OMG!) middle aged themselves!

Finally someone else said it. When Mike said it without saying his wife left him. I was like what a piece of garbage she is. One bad thing happens you cut and run. Apparently they didn't have 🔥 insurance to rebuild their furniture store. Or have 💰 set aside for emergencies. I would love to see Dutch return. But not as a reformed man. Bc almost every legacy character who was bad has reformed. I think it would be cool if Dutch and Terry teamed up. Bc of their hatred for Daniel. Terry with his 💰 gets released. Then helps Dutch get released. Why? Bc Terry needs an Ally. Not just against Daniel Johnny and Chosen also Kreese.

I would think that Dutch would still have some allegiance to Kreese based on his actions in the Karate Kid movie. He ignored Bobby's pleas to ease up on Daniel during the Halloween beat down and he seemed to be the only one not to come to Johnny's defense when Kreese choked him out after the tournament. Maybe his arch will straighten out in the end but I would think we'd see the same Dutch coming out of jail bitter about the time he lost while locked up. Kreese would love to hold on to at least one student from the past now that they have all gone by the wayside (maybe Tory still has some allegiance?). Most all the potential villains for Season 6 are going to be new and or background characters. To have a familiar legacy character join them might add a bit to the story.

Perhaps we discover that Dutch has always felt his skills and viciousness made him the ultimate Cobra. And he felt he should have been Kreeses Protégé. Instead of Johnny. We have never heard of Johnny visiting him in prison,, this .may have added to Dutch building a resentment of Johnny,

Well if Chozen, tje man who tried to kill Daniel and Mike who was just a psycho can be better people than maybe this guy can. If not than I guess I can see him getting out of jail and finding out that Johnny and Daniel have put the past behind them and maybe be angry with Johnny. He could be like tje anti Johnny, still stuck in that rage from way back. But since Kreese got out who knows if they could meet too

he retired from acting to race that was like 30 years ago i think he is in his 60ties now anyone remember him in marshal law with cynthia rothrock he was badass :D

I would be great to see Dutch. Makes me wonder if he's Tory's father. Mike Barnes should return to help Daniel, Johnny, and Chozen to teach the Miyagi Do-Eagle Fang students.

I kinda wish Dutch would've been the one who hurt Daniel's leg and then came back as the villain in Karate kid 3 basically took the Mike Barnes role after train9ng with Terry Silver being the only one willing to be a Cobra Kai cause he's pretty evil it would make more sense why Daniel was so scared of him, actually as a kid that's what I thought was going on in Karate kid 3 cause I was too young to understand what was happening
