Note to all bass players: THAT, is how a bass should sound!

Awesome awesome performance! Those guys really rock! Those were the days! I think the bass and lead guitarists are the best Hall and Oates had in their entire career. RIP, T-Bone.

I was so happy to find footage of this concert!! I was actually at this concert, and it was the best damn concert that I've ever been to!! The tickets only cost $5.00, it was a donation to the save the statue of Liberty. What also made it great, was that it was general admission,so the earlier you arrived, the better spot you got. HBO was there filming this concert, it was awesome, I'll never ever forget it!!

I agree w/angelagottarock Darrly & John & Co put on absolutely superb concerts. After they finish 'Maneater', if you aren't on your feet screaming - you've got a hole in your soul. I saw them about 7-8 years ago in Chicago, double-billed w/Michael McDonald. They had 2 sax players in duet! It still ranks as one of the best I've ever been at. And I've seen Clapton, Hendrix, and the Beatles in concert. I recognize G.E. Smith on lead guitar, but who's playing Bass. he was in Schafers SNL Band ??

These guys were one of the very few contemporary pop rock bands who stood the test of time, and went from the mid 70's well into the late 80's.. Then grunge took over and that was that. I was into the grunge, still am, and being a professional musician, i learned to appreciate both for what they've contributed to the music world.. But these guys are on whole other level. The stratosphere level. Musicianship, song writing, all make for Hall & Oates to be one of the greatest bands of all time, period. Great music and musicianship, has disappeared into oblivion..

G.E. Smith and Tom "T-Bone" Wolk were killing it on lead guitar and bass guitar. Daryl Hall's great singing, awesome dance moves, and youthful exuberance are fun to watch. The whole performance is amazing, but the final two minutes are legendary.

cool they finally did the right thing at Liberty State Park, in 1985. It's right on the water, so there's !always a breeze, especially on a beautiful summer night. Wish they would bring it back and bring back Hall & Oates! PLUS the NY Skyline is RIGHT THERE. waay cool spot for shows

when Daryl walked off the stage while the sax bit was going on, I wonder how high Daryl was getting because when he comes back running and jumping you can tell he's plowed. Hall & Oates= pure genius.

These guys were all great/no doubt, no argument but when GE Smith rocks that last couple minutes it's nothing but talent and it is amazing. Adult Education (this concert) he does just as good, if not better. I have this on Laserdisc,,,'bout as good as it gets b/c to my knowledge it's not on DVD. It's on VHS too. I've got it on both.
