The lines on this edition of the MR2 are just gorgeous! A lot of people go overboard when they get an older car, in terms of the aesthetic changes they make, but this style of the MR2 just looks amazing on its own. The swap of the engine to a V6 is just the power that the small chassis needs to really be sensational in terms of performance, and I can only imagine what this cars power to weight ratio is lol. also, this doesn't sound like a Nissan V6, possibly a Lexus IS V6 maybe… Not sure. Either way, A ++++++++++++++

@@ilyas5708 The engine swapped into that car will be the 2GR-FE, a transverse layout engine with port only fuel injection. The Lexus IS350 has a 2GR-FSE, which is an inline configuration with a direct-and-port injection fuel system; not much difference, but the block, pistons, and heads are different. That said, you could tear both engines down, mix the parts together, and still wind up with two running engines at the end of the day provided the heads and pistons stay together with the direct injection system. The transverse requirement comes down to transmission compatibility in the chassis, while the injection system changes cause a conflict that has not been solved from either a stock or aftermarket ECU standpoint. Over in Europe, the likely source for that engine is the Lexus EX350 SUV; here in the States, they're much more plentiful coming in Avalons, Camrys, Sienna mini vans, Rav4s, and a few other Toyota and Lexus platforms.

@@S5MIKEY V6s in general are considered to be unpleasant sounding engines. How the 2gr Can sound SO good and the Nissan VQ can sound so bad. The VQ40 is an exception. I have a Nissan Xterra which has the VQ40. It isn't pretty sounding but it DOES sound burly, which for a truck isn't bad

Keep working bro, I’m 22 and have had mine for just over a year now. It’s a Black Rev 3 3sge jap import and I only paid £1500 for it. After the work and the mods I’ve done on it it’s definitely worth 4 to 5 now. Just keep your head down and start saving now and you’re dream will be a reality before you know it👊

I bought mine when I was 17 a few years ago for £1100 by buying old electronics, doing them up and selling em on eBay. My best advice would be to find a side hobby that you’re interested in whilst you’re at school and learn the trade. Buy a reliable rust free NA and not a turbo and then gradually build on it up to the swap 😉 I know the feeling of dreaming of ownership during high school, you’ll have one someday!
