This video features a highly modified BMW 635CSi that produces more than 1200HP on E85! It's powered by its original S38B36 engine, but it has been fully built; 95mm Bore, CP Pistons, Ported head, Custom 290-degree Camshafts, PPF Exhaust Manifold, 50mm Individual Throttle Bodies, PT 7675 Precision Gen 2 Turbocharger, S54 Gearbox and Tilton Twin Plate Clutch.

This car is amazing, we did some extensive chassis reinforcement on it for Tim who built it, since the E24 chassis are notoriously weak. Probably the only E24 that doesn't need constant door fitment adjusting :)

Einzel Motorsport what was done? underbody cross braces? or welded steel sheets on the underbody?

DoriFord I wish it was that simple :) we looked into underbody bracing, didn't go well with the real estate under the car and would be at least 3cm lower. Also sheets is not great, since tech checkup requires exposed lines for inspection. So we cut out the complete sills and welded a hardened steel profile inside, and replaced the sills after. Only with carpet out its slightly visible. Makes the car super sturdy. Did the same to my M535i some ten years ago

I hear ya. I’ve been hated on for decades building custom Bimmers and you’re definitely not a hater. I was expecting the same, cool high speed acceleration. Destroying tires ? It could be done far less a HP. Do I believe 1200 possible ? Yes. S38 with a turbo that size is easily capable provided the airflow and internals and tune are up to it. I’d love to see this car in California on the dry lakes. Land Speed Weekend. That would be a video we would remember. Nevertheless fun stuff.

The 635 CSI, my dream BMW 😍. I don't care how HP it has. I would be perfectly happy, when it would have about 300+ HP. I believe the M6 version has about that ammount of horsepower. This is the ultimate BMW (next to the E21 323i)

Heb er 2 gehad, een 633csi en een 635csi. De eerste had een 4-bak en de tweede een 5-bak. De 633csi was voor m'n gevoel veel sneller en zag eruit zoals die in de video. Helaas gecrashed op de A1 afslag Diemen, een paar bejaarden stonden stil op de in-uitvoegstrook. 😥
