I was very lucky to once own a 1986 635 CSi. Mine was this color red, stock wheels with a black leather interior and like this one mine had a 5 speed. I wish it were an automatic because I was in rush hour traffic to and from work five days a week which got old. It was an amazing automobile and because it was such a rare car to see it always turned heads. Loved it. I come from a BMW family. My mom’s first BMW was a ‘79 320i then an ‘85 535i and her last one was a ‘90 530i. My dad always bought 7 Series and my brother also had a 635 CSi. We loved our BMW’s.

So cool to here that! What ended up happening to the car? Did you sell it?

@ I ended up trading it in for a Mercedes 190 E which was probably one of the cars I ever owned. Got rid of that and got a 530i which was my last BMW. I really miss that 635 CSi these days. I’m retired now and would love to just go on long drives with it.

One of the best looking bimmer, sadly price have gone up by a lot if you want buy a clean one.

They have gotten very expensive for clean examples. I would love to own an M6 from this era.

@@AutoWisdom The E24 M635 CSi was ferociously expensive even when new. I suspect that, adjusting for inflation, they're still cheaper now that when they were new in the mid '80s.
