These were going to be my last few months of ballet classes before I moved countries for uni and they have unfortunately been cut short due to these difficult times we are all facing around the globe. I was extremely scared of going into isolation and stopping my classes as ballet is such a big part of my mental health and how I deal with stress. These classes have quite literally saved me during the last couple of weeks and have been a great way to not lose strength and flexibility during this time. I love the good energy that both Ernst and Rex put out with these classes and I'm so thankful for the whole team at the Dutch National Ballet that is making this experience possible for so many people all over the world. Lots of love from Portugal !!! Stay safe and healthy everyone !!!

Thank you Ernest and Rex for the ballet classes. The internet is really wonderful. I am Brazilian and I study adult ballet classics. Unfortunately now, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are unable to go to ballet school. I'm a photographer and since I'm not working at the moment, I transformed my studio into my classroom ballet. I've done your classes 1 and 2 challenging me to do the exercises. Thank you very much, you are a very didactic teacher. I loved your classes. :-)

I danced for 20+ years and stopped about 10 years ago. I have been missing ballet so much and decided to jump back in during the shut down. These barre classes have been amazing! I’ve been able to jump back in and transition smoothly all while getting an amazing work out. I am truly loving these! Beautiful thank you for posting this video. I’ve been taking adult ballet classes for about six years. I’m currently taking a workshop at the National Ballet Of Canada in Toronto taking another workshop in that week or so. Obviously I’m new to ballet and I just looking for more challenging sort of beginner, intermediate barre exercise and I really like this particular video is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing these. I love how Ernst plays with musicality in these exercises- more so than other similarly leveled ballet barres I've taken. (Thanks to Rex, too!) This particular barre has been my favorite so far. It was very logical and I could feel how each exercise built on the previous one. My hips felt great afterwards, and those long balances have been really good for me. Glad you guys are staying healthy!

Thanks for this great class. It was very nice to see the dancers last week, i was feeling like a prima ballerina then. This class is easier for me to follow but it´s a good brainbraker that you only show the right side. So I have to really focus, that´s good excerise too, for my brains. Looking forward to the next one. And sometimes, when I forget a part of the exercise I just make up my own combination, works perfect.
