Never been able to do the cryptic, but I played a great joke on my sister using it. It was one of those that can be filled in with either easy or cryptic clues (not the same solution though). I would read the cryptic clue out loud, then write the easy answer, and when my sister started giving me this look, pretend that the cryptic clue was just so obvious.

You can't fill out crosswords with a pen!! However clever you are! Use a pencil for godsakes ;~)
