Fantastic playing. Really, one of the best renditions on KZbin. And the acoustics is marvelous. I like how the performers "speak to each other" as they play. And the Viola plays the correct rhythm 4 measures before rehearsal number 8

Honestly, you are one of the best. I have listened to about 110 KZbin renditions of this quartet. There are only a few that I would consider to be among the best. Your quartet and the Orion Quartet come to mind. I have this curiosity regarding the "mistake" that crept into the viola part for the two measures starting four measures before rehearsal number 8 in the finale. Out of the hundred+ renditions that I have heard, about 70 percent play the viola part correctly, as your violist does. About 30 percent don't (mostly American-based quartets). Listen to the Emerson quartet to hear the altered viola part. Again, the sound of your four players is among the top 6 or 7.

The four young musicians at the top for their age. Magnificent performance. It's a great pleasure to watch and listen them all with exceptional skills and quality. Thank you, guys!!

Admittedly, Dvorak wrote "vivace" but he added "ma non troppo", and I think that the musicians in this video should have taken that addition into consideration.

A very lively folk dance, puts a spring in my step. An interesting thing about American Dvorak to me is how he seems to suggest the more war like Native Americans very well in his From the New World Symphony, this is especially noticeable in the scherzo, it is like an attacking tribe like the Cherokee, absolutely striking imagery. I also really enjoy the deep viseral emotionality of the first movement of the op. 97 quintet.
