I should say i really enjoyed the in depth build video. Its the way all RC build videos should be done. Iv just ordered the new Eachine TX01 from banggood because its a bit lighter than the MC02. (Also the TX01 & TX02 are on sale at the moment on banggood) I nearly went for the 200mw Eachine TX02 but it draws a bit more power so decided to get the TX01 so i can also use it on my Eachine E010 Mini Quad as well. I love all the new RC gear Banggood are getting in. Your first video linked on banggood is the reason i purchased this Wing and the reason i found your youtube channel. You really need to submit this build video to banggood. It should get you loads more subscribers and help people to build there own wings.

Morning Andrew, thank you. That's glad to hear as I was worried about the length of the episode and whether anyone would actually watch it all besides me. I have a 450 quad build that I did a couple of weeks back, but never got around to editing it as I felt it was "too long". Screw it'll I'll edit it up and post it anyway when I get some free time to edit it :) Matt

Tip from Flite Test for joining two halfes was to use a big tape to hold the halfes together and then use the tape as a hinge to open the halfes hot glue them and put them together so they are very straight lined up.
@RagTheNutsOff8 жыл бұрын
Morning fella, I picked that same tip up from Pat too, I made a video on it a while back here kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZqvimOFf9p3ga8 ANY tips like that do share them, I know I'd find them helpful! Matt

I usually glue with hot glue. The first flying wing i built did i glue with "uhu por" but i think the joints are not strong enough.

Howdy fella, if you're going to overload the frame, make sure you reinforce the underside so it can take the extra weight. I had to chuck mine off a slope and overpower it to realise it's much better suited to a 2S setup. Hopefully taking her out for her maiden the wing tonight! Matt

will do. ply belly skid ready and a carbon dowel as a mainspar.

Just curious, would i have any problem flying a 2200 kv motor with a 30amp esc?
@RagTheNutsOff7 жыл бұрын
Howdy, that really does depend upon the motor, battery & propeller. So assuming a 2205/2204 sized motor with a 6x4 or smaller prop, yep you should be fine, but do check to see what the max current draw is on the batter, motor & prop combo. Hope that helps! Matt

Hello, do you know where I could fin a transmitter setting file for this wing ? It's my first wing and I don't know how to set my Walkera Devo10 ... Since there are only 2 servos, I guess that I need to apply the same control to both when I want to gain or loose altitude (of course having sufficient speed), and that I need to apply an opposite force to them when I want to turn left or right, is it ok ??? On the planes I own, there is always a specific servo at the back for pitch with respect to the two servos for roll ...
@RagTheNutsOff7 жыл бұрын
Howdy Ben, I have no idea with a Devo10, however see this video so you get an idea for how it should work with a wing kzbin.info/www/bejne/mImcn2NqrcyYna8 (and this one for the movements only kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqmmmax_q62VrLc ), Matt

Thank you very much Matthew, your first video confirmed my initial impression ! I'll be able to do the same kind of mixing on my devo, no doubt about that, right now I only have the wing and still waiting for the motor :-)

How is there throttle? You dont have a ESC, (electronic speed controller) what esc did you use?
@RagTheNutsOff7 жыл бұрын
Howdy fella, oh I didn't list that. I used a 20A ESC for this model, complete overkill, but worked great! Matt

Hi there. That was good entertainment for the evening. My kit turned up in the post this morning. Was very helpful and I learned a bit to. Please can you do a video showing the settings and mixing on your Taranis, obviously for flying wings. I know other people have other make radios, but i am sure this would help us with Taranis radios a lot. It would me anyway. If you do a video on the above, please don't go to quickly with the settings, as it takes a bit of following. Many thanks and i did like. Happy Days. 👍

Howdy Keith, I'm glad the video helped you. Sean got stuck with his Bonsai in the Facebook group & asked if I could make that video for him. It's already up on YT but not been published yet, soooo with that in mind the Facebook group is here facebook.com/groups/ragthenutsoff/ or if Faceballs isn't your thing, see the video directly here kzbin.info/www/bejne/mImcn2NqrcyYna8 Matt

Hi Matthew, During the video, you show us how you use the servo tester ; I've commanded one (it's so cheap ...) and tried it with success ! However, I've used a BEC to make my 2S Lipo voltage converted into 5V because the tester needs a voltage between 4.8 and 6V. It seems as you're plugging your battery directly on the tester, haven't you fried it ?
@RagTheNutsOff7 жыл бұрын
Howdy Ben, they're handy tool aren't they! As for plugging straight in, yes that's right because I am using 4x 1.2 Nimh batteries, which is 4.8V, hence I can do that. Matt

I did the same thing with the wooden motor mount. Stupidly tight fit. I had to use a mini file to open it up.

Morning Andrew, great minds think alike! Yea I just trimmed mine out with a knife, failing that the dirty hack tool (the dremel) would do the same job :) Matt

Hi Matt , just watched one of your videos were you said £50 is your limit to spend on a model , best of luck with that mate lol . I do believe this was my intention to , and it has not gone to plan . O by the way , we were talking about FPV cameras for mini quads , I think it was the f797 you had said was a good camera but was a little expensive , so I bought the Nano Skyhunter with the EFO1 camera . I shall let you now how both the camera and the plane perform mate . All the best .....
@RagTheNutsOff8 жыл бұрын
Howdy Scott, yea the EF01 is apparently pretty good, very jealous on the nano sky hunter! I looked at getting one but the shipping was FAR too expensive. Let me know how she goes when you get her! Matt
@scottthompson24818 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt , I did the median on the Skyhunter nano today mate , in about 15mph wind and she flew great , and that little camera works really well to Matt , I done the high and low light test and it performed very well . Defiantly a winner mate . All the best ........

I'm waiting for mine to arrive, BG sent it without track so it can be a month or more wait:( Do you have any idea already whats difference between this and V2? and have you seen already another DW wing with tracker prop BG have for around $40 that looks a lot different from most modern wings?

Great vid, thanks!!! Had one on order from Banggood for about a week, now.. I'm collecting all the other bits I need, now, should be good to go, when the wing gets here!!! Think I will order another, wonder if it would go without the motor pod, & slope soar???? Cheers once again, Fred
@RagTheNutsOff8 жыл бұрын
Howdy Fred, it should slope soar in light wings OK. I did it in 38 mph wind & almost killed thing thing. See this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJKmYp2FbL9ogZI at about 3 minutes in. Matt

Hi Matthew, thank you for your video ! You made my work easier and my first flight yesterday was quite good ! The pitch was not sufficient enough so I had to trim it before testing it today, and this time it was pure fun ! 360°, rolls, and inverted flight (not too long :-) ) was so nice ! I had to put my battery at the bottom front (with "scratch") because the old batteries I wanted to use were "dead" (voltage sag I guess, lack of power after 1 or 2 minutes), and the other one were too big to fit ... Can you tell me what the Reptile S800 will have more than that wing that could incite me to test it ??? Speed ? Agility? See you ;-)
@MrTwojaythomo7 жыл бұрын
Matt great video, how would it go with 3s, too heavy do you think?
@RagTheNutsOff7 жыл бұрын
Howdy John, A smaller 3S pack, say 850mAh or less would fit in the nose without much trouble. I've kept mine to 2S and it's great fun. Matt
@MrTwojaythomo7 жыл бұрын
I was going to use it for fpv flying so don't really care if it fly's heavy. I was going to order the V2 and use carbon tube as I found in my last wing it works better then the strip. I had a super fly delta 700mm which was designed to run on 3s with a 1000mah so I thought this being 1000mm it would be right to run a fair bit more weight. Why is it that all the EPO wings are designed to run heavier equipment with similar sized wings, has it got to do with EPO being stiffer?
