Hi Matt, excellent tutorial. Changing from spectrum to frsky taranis and it looks like a steep learning curve. This video will defo help me out just to try and set a wing up. On spectrum gear it is much more simpler as mixing is pretty much done for you. Cheers Matt.

Howdy Terry, yea it's a bit odd I have to agree. That said, once you get the hang of it, you can do anything, quickly & easily, Matt

I'm someone else with a prop scar lol. Accidently armed a plane I was working on and it came at me in my living room, sharp 12" prop being swung by a 900w motor and I recieved 22 lacerations to the back of my arm, 18 of them deep and ended up in hospital. Wish you cod post pics on youtube, id show you and they would also be a good visual to put in videos when saying why it's important to remove props.

Hi Matt, please can you do a video to show how to set up duel rates and expo for taranis plus for a flying wing cheers Neil
@RagTheNutsOff7 жыл бұрын
Howdy Neil, yep I have a couple of Taranis episodes to come out, one of which is multiple rates as I do mine differently than most, but works great! Matt

Thank you so much, I could hug you right now! Thank you for all of the videos. Question: if I'm planning on using gps/RTL will the mixer interfere with inav? (Saw a video somewhere that said don't use mixer with inav rtl)

Hey bud thank you for helping me out. I've just recently got my first wing it's a bonsai 2 and you helped me understand setting up servos in a big way. One question is we set everything to 50 in mixer. If I go up that will just increase my movement right. I haven't flown a wing or any plane yet just quads so I imagine I wanna keep at 50 for now possible lower until I wanna be more reactive?
@RagTheNutsOff6 жыл бұрын
Howdy fella, you can of course change it to 75 or 100 if you feel mental enough and it'll be great fun. However start with 50, it'll be enough to "begin" with, hope that helps! Matt

Hi Matt, Im pretty new to fixed wing but have a few years of quad racing under my belt. I do already have a WRA wing and it seems to fly ok but watched this video and learned a bit more. One question I have maybe 2...EXPO, do you apply expo on the Inputs page or within the Mixer page? Also do you have a video on setting up dual rates on a switch, like a 3 position for example? Thank you
@RagTheNutsOff6 жыл бұрын
Howdy Clayton, I do have another video on how to set up 3 way rates on the Taranis, look it up as I do it in the inputs screen with switch positions. Hope that helps! Matt PS. Expo is a good thing!

Nice video Matt, could you recommend a cheaper transmitter for a bonsai? Looking to get into it but didn't really want to splash out too much lol
@RagTheNutsOff8 жыл бұрын
Howdy Phil, the FlySky i6 is a no-brainer, it's about £36 and has pretty much everything you would need on it. Matt

Hi Matt, thanks for the great video. Can you use an SBUS receiver on a wing?
@RagTheNutsOff7 жыл бұрын
Howdy fella, not without a converter to change the signal to PWM or a fligth control board (that does the same thing, but adds in extra features, such as iNav & a F3 board), Matt

I wanted to use the cheap XM Plus with my taranis on a Spirit 600mm wing. Is there any cheap FrSky PWM receiver out their? (New to all this, normally fly quads.)
@RagTheNutsOff7 жыл бұрын
Howdy, yes there is, it's the V8R-II which is the cheapest FrSky made PWM receiver (4 channels). They cost about £12 and what I'm using on a very similar model. There is another option which is a clone (clones are not normally "good" which is this one goo.gl/65i8Cd, but I've not used them yet and have 2 on the way to me). Matt

Hi Matthew,I bought my first flying wing on Banggood ,it's a Sky Shadow S800.Do you think that your setup is good for me ? i pilot a flying wing for the first Time...Is it more difficult to pilot than a quadcopter ? Thank you.
@RagTheNutsOff7 жыл бұрын
+Sebastien Myslinski Howdy fella, see my goodbye S800 video. It's a tough wing and I have put my setup in that video for you too. You will have a few bad landings, don't give up, it just takes a little to,e to get used to it. Matt
