DW Oblit sure is back!!! I've been playing it during prepatch and its insanely strong. Pulling 1.5-2mil on every pack is so sick. Am just so excited to be back on Duel wield as well, so few classes use 2 1h

I've been testing Deathbringer hero tree a bit and I feel like it does really well for aoe. Choice node that makes frost fever do its damage in half the time is pretty strong, and the Painful Death choice node procs often enough to get you some nice Exterminate cleaves. Obviously Riders is also good insofar as it reduces the cd of DnD, and gives you some passive DvD cleave uptime from one of the riders. But really, Icy Death Torrent is just so strong that DW seems the optimal choice over 2h regardless of what hero tree you go.

Amazing vid! i have a question, when do i use Soul reaper?? all the guides say to take it but i find my rotation is so full up of other spells i never bother casting it... i also saw in your gameplay you didnt press the button the whole dungeon. is this just a dead talent point?

I have a question about dw frost, does "striking with each weapon" trigger conditional events multiple times? For example whitemane's undeath curse gains a stack and infects another enemy each time the enemy is damaged by obliterate, does it proc once or twice?

I love dw but when tww drops i'll go for 2h, -10 sec cd on dnd + some passive dnd on rider of the apocalypse for easy cleaving, also can have absolute zero and the long winter capstone capstones together so I can go easly for high crit.

Do you think they should force frost DK to not use 2 hander or dual wield? I feel in love with frost in legion and loved that game play. But sense I feel like o need to keep 2 sets of gear and 3 weapons in order to play frost because of oblivion and breath dynamic.

Hey there, in situations where I have not enough runic power to spend and no procs, should I press Howling blast or Obliterate? or in general, do we ever press Obliterate without Killing machine proc? or maybe cleave Obliterate with Rider of the Apocalypse which has 10s reduced cd of death and decay?

I would make an mouse-over macro for frost strike rather then tab target, that way I wouldn't have to switch focus of my main target. I haven't played wow in a while I'm not sure if you are still able to make an mouse over macro? I know they made restrictions for macros before. I noticed that now pillar, chill streak and reaper's mark now are all sync in 45 second cd, I will try macroing them all into one key bind and see how it goes. May not be optimal though. Also, reapers mark now scales with mastery since a recent beta build, chill streak does as well, so I should throw a strong mastery trinket with that macro.

KM over SR always. I wouldn't play SR at all. Even at pure st bosses I play with Abo limb because SR can be a trap. If you press it on CD (in execute range ofc) it will consume too many runes resulting in unused/overwritten KM procs. You will end up having 2 KM procs but not enough runes to use Obliterate. In my 5 min sim and in the top logs they use SR like 8-10 times per fight and it's less than 3% of your overall. While Abo limb is like 1,5% overall plus rime procs. With a high risk of losing these KM procs and losing so much more dps this way. So I just get rid of SR. And I suggest you to do the same, unless you are a perfect calculating computer. Which you are not, otherwise you would not ask^^

I already have abom and have been prioritizing KM procs but it feels weird not pressing soul reaper, because im an unholy main which presses soul reaper on cd except in the Garg window, but with the new changes im not sure if that is true anymore. I end up running doom bidding instead, but thanks for the answer.

Its doing so well on live because were currently stacked af with secondaries and frost scales decently with all of them, especially with crit, which even outsims strenght on a per point base. While Frost is doing well in beta its not even slightly broken after the last round of nerfs and therefore further nerfs seem very unlikely.

If a retpal was outdpsing you in any type of content as a frost dk in S3, you were playing like a donkey, sorry to say that. Yes, we're currently broken af due to our exceptional secondary scaling. Which means, we wont be as broken at the start of S1 TWW. BUT: thats why we will likely not see any further nerfs and will be in a very healthy spot at the end of S1.

So my choices are again BOS which depends entirely on the tank to pull correctly or Oblit which requires me to pray tank doesnt move out of dnd. Skupping TWW and every other xpac until they fire the entire team.

Thats not really the case with DW Oblit though. Oblit makes like 20% of your overall dps, while almost 50% is Icy death torrent, howling blast and remorseless winter, which dont depend on your dnd uptime at all.
