Hello ! Thanks for the tips, I was looking for a long time to return to WoW as a Frost DK. I have a question, is the spec viable in any form in terms of casual PvP and is Blacksmith a good profession to have ?

Bro ur guides saved me a lot cuz i was struggling so mich and i didnt want to change the class But im still struggling with the single target damage and ive watched tons of videos but they didnt help me Can give me a hand or maybe make a video for the single target rotation? Cuz im sure there are others who have the same issue

@@apickle3538 it will happen massively most of the time. You can accelerate it by using death and decay before your reapers mark

hey, reapers mark dont work for me in the breath macro, any ideas? its spelled right, if i press the macro a second time the mark is going off

oh just found out the rune that are generated with the use of BOS are not filled up when i use my last rune on death and decay the mark is trying to be used before it filled up, any ideas on this?

Thanks for this detailed Video, helped me alot! Iam just curious, do you know if "Unholy Aura" buffs the Damage of your Riders/Blood Beast aswell? Iam trying out a Pet Based Build and it feels like strongly underperforming.

The amount of whining in these comments is impressive. There's virtually no game play difference between 2H and DW frost; play unholy if 2h is a big deal...unholy is underrated. Breath is a high risk, high reward ability and very satisfying to pull off (generally true for skills that take time to acquire/master). I run Breath in pugs and tanks who move excessively cause issues, but are also an opportunity to improve how I respond to sub-optimal situations. Also, I'm confused by claims that frost is bad, since I still regularly top overall dps while running keys.

I had a problem: as dk, I need to reforge my weapon from 619 to 636 but the forged mate, say me that is a problem with runeforge enchant. As I know, there is no way to remove it but just overwrite. Do u have any solution I can try for that?

Really wish they would just make breath a 2 min cd with 20s uptime that did flat dmg…. Its such an annoying way to play and feels terrible if you mess it up while not being rewarding if you do it perfectly because youre just stressed the entire time

its definitely worth it with shattering ice talent in AOE, i use it in keys and frost strike is my highest dps skill because of it, pumping millions normally.

too many nerfs without any counterbalance, so many people are still stuck with the old info of frost OP at the start of TWW and its just not the case anymore, since 11.0.5 frost has been low to mid at best in terms of performance.

The fact that these changes change nothing for dk on ST is sadge. Lets be honest here, these changes became obsolete when they nerfed bos on top of these 2 buffs. Not to mention, dk needs ALOT more in terms of st to actually compete then what you call 5%.

Simming breathe is never going to be 1 for 1 though...the sim is running OPTIMAL macro and movement. Someone posted in the dk discord a ss of a sim that had breathe uptime of 42s. MDL players that were running breathe werent even getting 42s windows lol.

I stopped playing FDK when shatter got annihilated. I find breath to be too volatile in pug groups and if you mess it up, you just get an obscene amount of abuse. So seeing shatter becoming good again, is a win for a large percentage of players.

Thats probably the most common misconceptions about the current frost dk builds. Its not like breath turns your spec into a 2:15 meme aoe spec which either connects or it doesnt. If you feel useless outside of BoS this most likely indicates that your runes and runic power management is poor. In this case, shattering builds wont do you any better since put even more emphasize on ressource management. Plus, if you dont get decent breaths off in a pug key, how much value do you think the TLW pillar extension will get. Or weaving in some shattering AoE through tab-targetting froststrikes. Its not that shattering has been annihilated at some point, but mechanically wise, BoS is just hands down better. It doesnt noticably suffer in your 45 second windows and packs a serious boss, focus target or big AoE punch every 2:15. Even after these changes, while numbers wise riders and db will come pretty close, BoS will still be the clear winner just due to the damage profile and less rng dependance.

@@polkhigh_33 I am very aware of everything you've said and none of what you said was relevant to my reason for no longer playing breath. The issue is other players in pug groups that give DK's an insane amount of abuse when breath messes up and a huge damage window is missed.. It's not everyone but its more common than it should be, its unnecessary, not a big deal, yet people that don't understand the spec always want to be an expert within your group. Thanks for the longer winded response though.

I've always been a breath enjoyer myself, but I do think it's healthier for the game that other builds are close to it in damage. Breath should be the best option 100% in my opinion in a skilled players hands, but there should still be viable options for those who don't quite handle the mini-game well or just don't like it in general. I also like to have options in fights that make breath an extremely "feelsbadman" spell. The kind of fights where there are frequent mechanics that ruin your breath altogether, if you're the target.

Just wish they wouldn't forget about 2H Oblit, simple tuning knob on Might of the Frozen Wastes and then we would have more playstyles and weapon choice. Also been the most fun for me personally. I really hope they can at least make it viable again.

Funny how I only played Unholy this season, but every single fucking time I do a Dawnbreaker key, I get closer and closer to only playing Frost in that dungeon... having to resummon the ghoul after every single(!) short dragonride is so damn tedious. 👿😡 Also a small side note: You should add a warning in your Frost guides, that the Frostwhelp hits 40y and can add stuff just like Frostwyrm can. Saw many meta rerollers pull stuff with it and they didn't even know or said they don't have the dragon (wyrm) skilled. 👀😁

i have 35 clears on Dawn and the 1 hand sword did not drop. I got the other loots couple of times. The other day, I joined a full melee run on Dawn with another dual wield breath frost DK and he got the weapon. idk how many times he run the dungeon but I am more unluckly lol
