As a Sierra Leonean i think Liberians are very smart and don’t have sentiments for politicians like in our country. Even if the president didn’t do well they will steal vote him base on tribal sentiments. George did well but the citizens wanted fir him to do more than he did. And i like the u-turn. My only word is i think its too early to judge the current president. But i pray he do well beyond your expectations.

No he didn't do well, if he did well they would've voted him again.

This was a good debate. While watching, I was listening to how well the various speakers provided local solutions to the problems highlighted. Here's what I noted each said for both problems & solutions Main Problems 1. Lack of accountability and transparency in governance. 2. Inadequate education system and a decline in the quality of education. 3. Rampant corruption within the government and institutions. 4. High unemployment rates and challenges in job creation. 5. Poor performance and lack of experience among appointed officials. Five Main Solutions Provided: 1. Emphasizing education reform, with a focus on vocational and technical education. 2. Implementing reconciliation efforts to address divisions within the population. 3. Investing in vocational, technical education, and supporting programs for skill development. 4. Strengthening anti-corruption agencies and ensuring political will to prosecute cases. 5. Encouraging young people to take advantage of opportunities, engage in vocational training, and contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.

Thanks for showcasing Liberia. We are the tenth poorest country on earth with 2.33 billion in debt despite debt cancellation from the World Bank, IMF , Paris club etc. Our leaders only care about themselves. Imagine, a country whose citizens live on less than $1.50 a day pay each member of the House of Senate over $129,000 annually plus gas slips, maid, residential rental while pay each member of the House of Representatives 131,700 annually in salaries and incentives. Each member House of Senate and house of representatives drive vehicle costing us between $60,000 to $90,000.

Unemployment is a time bomb in Africa, in all countries of Africa there is huge unemployment caused by lack of investments in a economic sectors, in Africa governments only collects taxes they have no idea on how they will uplift their citizens, Africa is doomed

You have raised valuable concerns. Regardless the situation, we also recognise the development in different areas, albeit slowly. But we believe that with consistency and creating awareness through shows like this, the continent indeed will get better. It suffices to say that positive change is possible and the continent has very great potentials and not doomed. We hope that we all play our part to make it even more better for everyone.
