The last kobold I played, I wandered from town to town following rumors of vampirism, sitting in the liveliest, most gossip filled sports I could find, until eventually someone just straight up said they thought somebody in their town was a vampire and named them. So I looked around town until I found them, and then followed them around town until they attacked someone. Apparently intervening into that was enough to get the authorities involved, and in the ensuing scuffle I succeed in bloodying my spear in the dreaded vampire before they ran away, chased by townfolk. I licked the blade. None would look down on me again

Rant incoming. There is something miraculous about this channel, and I don't say that lightly. It does something that truly astounds me - it creates these amazing, intense, organically grown stories, which is hard enough, but they are good, most of them great, some of them truly epic. I consider myself a storyteller, that is my primary identity. I am obsessed with story and the concepts that surround it. The rules, the tropes, the archetypes but this content... it transcends them. It doesn't follow any pacing or structure, but it doesn't need to. It couldn't if it wanted to. The stories created here are not some rigid construct being pieced together by some mastermind, they are just growing as the characters get on with their lives. Sure Krugg has some level of control, but the broader picture tends to keep painting itself around him. The story is going to happen with or without his input, and that doesn't happen often outside of real life, and even less often is this entertaining. The other side to this is that a story lives or dies with the telling. Every dwarf fortress run lives and grows just like this, but few are as good as Krugg's and a lot of that comes down not just to how he tells it, but also how in tune he is with his game world. He puts in the effort to dig out the details, be it eye colour or home town or great grandad's dinner last tuesday if it's relevant. Then with these details he figures out the stories that are already there, preformed but scattered into fragments. From there he figures out the story he wants to tell around these details, nestling his own narrative within the living, breathing world, and at last, they tell a story together. It's not just that DF creates great stories, or that Krugg tells them wonderfully, it's that they work together to create amazing an amazing narrative that is basically alive and share it with the world. Every freakin' week! I say it again, there is something miraculous about this channel, and I haven't even mentioned the artwork

This seemed like an odd lord of the rings x fallout cross over The rain ravaged ruins of the old world, depopulated by the magic of the elves and filled with their mutated war beasts, refugees flee from seemingly endless army's but nobody knows anymore who's army's they are or even which side they themselves belong to, are their sides anymore? In the middle of it all a single tiny kobold, such a small life but so full of potential, will she find a home? Or will she be forgotten, lost in the mud, just another casualty of this endless war. Who can say? Because dwarf fortress, dwarf fortress never changes. (Also kobold asleep on a throne is adorable, I wanted to feed her a cracker and pet her on the head)

Dang, this intro music is catchy. Actually any creature that has [INTELLIGENT] flag can become adventurer. If it is part of civilisation it will be displayed on list, outside of intelligent wilderness creatures. So if you add [INTELLIGENT] to a Dragon that by default has [PET EXOTIC] flag you can tame if(cause of PET flag) and it will be able to apply for citizenship (INTELLIGENT flag) then you can retire your fort and became Dragon adventurer burning the world, YAY. Works with any creature, some time ago it worked even with Cargo Wagons (Imagine Wagon rolling at you angrily holding battle-axe(If you give them arms, that is)). Kobolds aren't exactly "smaller than most dogs" I must say - well, they are, but the wording gives a wrong impression. The SIZE value in Dwarf Fortress is a measure of volume, and assuming the kobolds are of a vaguely humanoid build, they are about 47 inch tall (if we assume the average human is 6 ft). That said, dogs in DF are pretty big boys, weighting _nearly a half of an average human_ and certainly x1.5 times more than a kobold.

Really really awesome episode Kruggsmash! Seems like the start of an exciting adventure in a land filled with war! Lets hope Tuco rises from the ashes and does not become part of the flames that destroy these lands!

Thanks, bruh! I actually animated that entire thing in a day and STILL got the episode done which is INSANE! I do draw every frame in mspaint. Some clever copy/pasting goes a long way!
