I transplanted some and they took to the new location really well. Some shade, some limited hot summer sun and they just keep spreading. Love the Dwarf Mondo Grass, not fussy and always looks good!

There's a patch of Liriope along my back fence, I think it grows similar to mondo grass. The weeds don't sprout easily in it, and the Liriope is hard to remove.

Love my dwarf mondo, definitely grows slowly, but I'm definitely noticing it filling in.

Best channel! Are you able to walk on Dwarf Mondo?

Yes. Not heavy foot traffic but light traffic won't bother it at all. Wonderful ground cover but does need some shade in the afternoon in really hot climates. Spreads fairly quickly in good soil and so easy to divide you can start new ones quickly

When you are ancient like me, Dwarf Mondo Grass used as a filler between pavers is a terrible trip hazard. Especially in low light that dreaded arthritis shuffle trips so easily on the pretty, firm mounds of greenery!

Is it invasive???
@JimPutnam19 сағат бұрын
Dwarf mondo is not considered invasive. Regular Mondo is, but is rarely in big patches. Just small patches in moist areas. Seems to struggle against mature woodlands. It does spread slowly though and you would want to keep it where you want it and not let it just keep going.

You do a disservice to your viewers by not mentioning that mondo grass is considered invasive in the SE. I was horrified after buying an 18-pack of mondo grass only to find that Trees Atlanta lists it (with Liriope) as a Top Ten Invasive in Atlanta's urban forests.

That's regular mondo grass that's on that list. Not disputing that mondo can be invasive if ignored, but that list is missing 20 plants that are a hundred times more invasive in urban spaces. No Nandina, Russian Olive, Rose of Sharon, Mimosa, Callary Pears, and lots more. You are correct that I should have pointed out to keep it in place once it's reached the desired size. Thanks for watching and pointing that out.
