Of course, there are those elite home theaters with purpose-built environments that fully project the media, but most of us just sit through streaming content for the mental stimulation of intense dialog or an incisive dialectic that is only muddied by the "stadium full of strangers" milieu. Some, like feasts for the eyes, are best served in the widest room available.

Long answer: I think he saw advantages in embedding WWE in a bigger corporate structure. There would be more innovation, professionalisation, business savvy and long-term security. Sticking to the current family-control model seemed like treading water, since Vince probably thought none of his family members really have the kind of business acumen or vision needed for a top league listed company. That said, I also believe that he thought it would be an equal power share across TKO after the tie up. I'm not sure he thinks that now. Just look at the TKO executive board. The key positions are not held by any WWE people. And from the body language of the NYSE bell ringing ceremony yesterday -- also on youtube -- I wonder if Vince has some regrets or issues. If you watch it you'll see how frosty things appear between Vince and the Rock. No eye contact or handshake, a forced 'hug' at the end - you can see in their faces. The WWE team incl Nick Khan all look very sober while the Endeavour/TKO people are really enjoying it. I wonder if Vince sees the Rock as someone who is effectively taking over from Vince and who is actually much closer to Ari than to him. Just a theory @@LowkeyLukeDnB
