2019 looks to be a good year for right-wing populists in Europe.
Be it Italy, France, Hungary, Poland or Germany, many European countries are experiencing a shift to the right. Right-wing populists are expected to make significant gains in the European Parliament elections this spring.
Right-leaning party representatives have an agenda: they want to dismantle to the European Union. Guido Reil of Germany’s AfD party believes the best way to do that is by going to Brussels. "It is easier to destroy something from the inside than from the outside." Joseph Sauvage, a cafe owner in Denain in northern France, backs Marine Le Pen's Rassemblement National party, because he doesn't want to see people in Denain abandoned. "When the factories closed, the small shops closed. There is nothing here, economically speaking. No work. It’s also changed politically. It used to be communist. But that changed with the end of opportunities for the working class." His view of migration has also changed. "Immigrants are entitled to the same social benefits without ever having worked here." Like Joseph Sauvage, Luca Davide, a member of Italy’s Northern League party, says he's had enough of living in a run-down block in a small city full of foreigners. "We don't need drug dealers, we don't need illegals! We just want to live here in peace and safety." In early February 2018, a right-wing supporter targeted Africans in a drive-by shooting rampage. According to Northern League leader Matteo Salvini, the EU shares "moral responsibility” for the act because it "filled the country with illegal foreigners." Messages like these are met with support. Evidence of just how a state’s society and institutions change when right-wing populists come to power is evident in Hungary. Many judges, organizations that support refugees or human rights, scientists, and journalists speak of massive restrictions in Orban's "illiberal democracy". But a lot of young Hungarians starting to push back.

The EU doesn't fund anything, that money comes from national governments who take it from tax payers. There is nothing wrong with being an independent state. Countries should be able to run their countries how they see fit without outside interference and work together when necessary. You don't need a political/monetary union for countries to work together on an international level and to get along. The USA and Japan have been doing just fine without entering into a political union since WW2, as do other countries. A political union is not needed and only those who believe there has to be, have alternative motives...taking over countries and that's what the EU is trying to do, take over nation states bit by bit through the backdoor.

Its all about forming the NWO so they need to unite as many European countries together. Then there will be a North & South American with Mexico Union, then a Pacific & Austraian Union and Asian Union and African and middle eastern union. All under the NWO. Thats why trade agreements are so important for this NWO to take shape. Sovereign countries are not easy to control.

I HATE CABBAGE i think you have to dig deeper. The EU was formed to make it easier for the large corporations, industries, pharma to control prices citizens pay and what the banker can make. Its also easier to control countries that have given up their sovereignty. When the people give up their voting rights and give it to unelected leaders that come from bankers, corporations, pharma do you think these leads care a hoot about the citizens. Citizens are considered useless slaves or cattle. The make laws that helps them. The IMF is a financial disaster for those countries that are forced to sign up for its support. They‘ll never get out of debt. The UN is the first step for the NWO where the world is controlled by the elite. If you think the elite care about you then you need to wake up fast.

The more I live, the older I become and the more I see in the world--not only from reading, but also from having lived all over the world-- the more I realize that human existence is similar to the ocean tides. Chaotic, unpredictable, violent for the most part, moved by mindless masses of non-thinking entities. Lessons learned through suffering, misery and death, will be soon forgotten and the mistakes repeated. Over and over.

The EU is just the new USSR except it is not as much enforced by the fear of physical violence, the KGB and gulags. They have refined their method of operation and now they use left wing propaganda, media lies, and political intrigue and corruption to achieve the same end. They realised keeping people poor creates discontent against the ruling class so they allow us some level of materialism and have us distracted by chasing that and getting ourselves into debt in the process. Nationalism is the way forward. We are distinct peoples who need to govern ourselves.

They got so many talented people from rest of Europe working there because of it. What is bad is the EU commission and that its not democracy selected. That’s unacceptable. Roughly a billion white ppl come together to fix the other 7 billion? Ok A lot of 5he problems are over too many very different ppl coming 8n trying to change us- a society than plows 4 planes full of ppl into buildings might not want change, if 5hey did they would try. A few vetted immigrants who respect the country they enter is one thing but too much, too fast only fuels resentment and the same thing would be true if the situation was opposite. Hard working ppl are sick of the burdens placed on them by communist leaning trolls coming out from left field like the goon squad - theres a reason the rights called the right. There can be compromise if mature ppl stop trying to change others and change themselves- its so sad to see ppl who believe the only answer is to let it all hang out and pass the responsibility off thinking theres no consequences - its ok to let ppl disrespect and complain about the same ppl who welcomed them- its about how we act and it shouldnt be an issue to let others have different opinions than your own- that and compromise or no one wins

They have actually done some studies on the issue, it's partly genetic. So it's dangerous to promote multiculturalism when we have such clear evidence of massive destruction throughout history (Ancient Rome, Hitler, China today, British colonialism). People forget that the natural state of the mind is ideological, we can't look at things truly objectively because our ego is hypersensitive to social interactions/social statues.

Far right ideology always ends up with authoritarianism. For the nationalist to succeed, there must be a central figure, directing, propagandizing, and probably most terrifyingly, punishing those who oppose or stray from the party leaders views. History has shown this time and time again. The people who deny this are those who want to subjugate.

Every one of these parties claims to value the benefit of their own country over all the other countries. In economic terms, the AFD and the Lega are the hardest opposition. Well, it seems they can put this aside to support each other in undermining the EU.

Brainwashed cult follower. It's typical of most of the pro-EU people; they just don't get what people are upset about. They also seem to emphasize democracy, while being anti-democratic themselves. If the EU would "work" (as in limit itself to a trade union), people would vote for it. But currently, given their stupid immigration policies, and failed monetary policy, they're just asking for it.

Moreover, the commentator @ 23:55 injects her bias by maligning Orban when she quips, ",..population exchange: a phrase straight out of the right-wing/conspiracy-theorists handbook." When mainstream media wants to condemn a politically-right argument they call it a conspiracy theory. Essentially, "conspiracy theory" is equal in meaning [interchangeable] to them saying "crazy." If she responded by saying what she truly meant, "population exchange: a phrase straight out of a crazed, lunatics handbook" then she would not be hiding her left-leaning bias. But Orban's speech @ 23:45 was undeniably true.., so she needed to discredit it.

That is the point: they pretty much don't have anything sensible except being against mass migration, Brussels, EU, elites and scientific community. They just exploit people hate towards the government without risking to propose something tangible and divide their support base. There totally could have been some sensible right-wing party with anti-migration stance but it does not stand a chance as long as people don't mind supporting populists. We all love diversity and it is your freedom of vote. Just not act all surprised that after coming to power these populists would start to make incompetent decisions, declare media a fake news over coverage of these decision and after that it is just a snowball effect.

The Right wingers are much to comfortable in their role of being a victim to the opposition. Nothing but complaining on all sides. Constantly arguing while using rhetorical strategies that increasingly divides people. It seems that people not even trying to get into a dialogue with their opponents. As a portuguese, I really think Portugal should detach from the EU and affiliate with the African Union. Our cultural heritage has more relation with Africa than with the rest of Europe. We are more close to Africa than to Brussels. We relate much better with african people than with racist bigots of Hungary, Germany, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Belgium and so on. So, I really wish more africans come to Portugal than european racists. Racists are simply not welcome here neither me, as a portuguese, share any link with any of you racists and neo-fascist nationalists of Europe.

the current set of left , centre and right EU politicians have proved their incompetence , that has only left the extreme right in many cases . Add to that the egoistic actions of Germany and Hungary and the reasons for the political crisis are evident . The EU is not democratic , and politicians no longer listen to the people who elected them , and ignore the millions of EU citizens living in poverty , yet at the same time helping illegal immigrants . The current EU political attitudes will lead to unrest even violence across the EU , and there is need for total political change and accountability
