I am so happy for this. As a Colombian is very important for me that our ecosystems don't continue to promoting massive extinction but that animals and plants can have their own habitat. If we want to live in this planet, we need to respect living beings. I don't know if is possible to return to a balance as ancient times but at least we must try.

I think what you say is more important than we realise and and we owe it to the planet to animals and nature and each other and if there is a creator who made the world and I believe there is we will be held accountable for what we have done to the world and the animals under our care like tigers are on their last chance and we are responsible for such a majestic animal and from a secular view point we will reap what we sow in the future for our children and the next generation, we need to all make a stand now before it is too late..

You should add some European countries to that list. Many countries in Europe have eradicated the bear, wolf, lynx and many big game animals as well. Granted we don't have the space that other countries have but the animals that are native to Europe also have a right to exist and serve an important role in the ecosystem.

Chernobyl documentary is quite good on this topic. Also there are some programs in Balkans where they are rewilding large deer and bison from this year in Serbia. Also the local Lynx population is booming in Eastern Serbia where region is scaresly populated but also in parts of Croatia and Macedonia. There are also families of Beaver booming for the past 10 years thet they were reintroduced after over a century missing. There are also wild horses, now famous on Mountain Stolovi, pure enjoyment in the summer months for all hikers. There is also growing brown bear population in Tara mountain. Prior to watching this, I first saw a news video of jaguars being seen near the Arizona boarder in the US, two males. It is a good day for the jaguars (currently 2024)! I am so moved by this documentary, the animals, the people. I want to be apart of this, I have for years regarding the fight against local big cat "safari's" in the US (I am in Missouri) these places are not right. Big cats should be in the wild, or in massive sanctuaries, not cages. We need people and passion like this, to right the so many wrongs committed against big cats and other wild animals. As always, bravo DW thanks for a great and eye opening doc! ❤
