This is literally the song that made me want to start playing guitar. I saw it on cable tv when I was 9 and asked my parents to start taking guitar lessons. God bless that man and his green guitar.

I remember seeing it for the firs time on MTV right after it came out and IMMEDIATELY had to tape it so I could learn the main riff. Such a tasty, well crafted composition for an 18 (I think) year old kid. And Moon was a total hotty. Still have a crush on her lol

I remember when this came out, I thought Moon really had a future. But then she came out with that Valley Girl song, and I still can't even make it through the first verse. She is cute here though, I like her dancing.

I remeber this all to well. The day it premiered on mtv he played it twice back to back. I loved it so much i made my mom take me to tower records so i could get the 45. Played the hell out of it that summer. Good times!

This album debuted on August 22, 1986...so Dweezil would have been about 26 when he made this song...I saw this very catchy song right before I had to go to high school one morning...I've often felt that I was the only one who liked this song...by the way, the girl singing this song with Dweezil on guitar is his older sister, Moon, I believe. Dweezil was already a DJ / VJ on MTV when this song came out!!!!!! Dweezil is excellent on guitar!!!!!!

Granted he seemed pretty grown up, but Dweezil was about 16 & since Moon was 14 when Valley Girl was released in 1982, she’d be 18 here. Really like this song, wished they’d have collaborated more. Sound ace together

I don’t know why I always found it funny, but Frank Zappa taking the business section of the paper from Robert Wagner and reading it was great. As a little kid I got the feeling that Frank Zappa didn’t take himself too seriously. Maybe I was wrong.
