Basic training, US Army. I wasn't in very good shape when I started but I had a very good Drill Sargent who pushed me to my limits and beyond. I didn't give up and kept on striving and he was there every step of the way pushing me to do better. And so I did. Thankyou DS Cobb!

My Toughest Challenge Yet: Hiking 100 Km In One Go | Axel On The Edge 1646pm 14.1.22 i enjoy his pain at his own faux strenuousness. though i think it works out at around walking 62 miles in one day. i think i managed 30 odd mile in 8 hours or so - over the roads of rochdale, oldham and delph to milnrow etc etc.. so i think it possible... i would try this but i dont have the scenery... and i'm sick of old farts.

I have some experience with ultra events. And for sure your most important objective is to keep your feet happy. So cleaning them, using cream and indeed changing socks helps a lot with preventing foot issues.

Hi Axel, this is a really cool and very tough challenge, you should take great pride in accomplishing it! i walked the Camino in Spain which is 800 km but takes many days to complete. The longest I have walked was 30 km one day and it felt very tough on the legs, so I know how you must have felt throughout those 24 hours! congratulations to you! and keep posting more challenges like this one!

How weird to see on DW that there were tons of people hiking 100km and passing my house just a few hundred meters. Also recognising the bridge where you met the guys from the first stop again is at Oeffingen, where I grew up.

Klasse Video!

Do Euromaxx Producers hate Herr. Primavesi? An idea for next episode; Alex does Oktoberfest. Chill man- life’s too short.

@t.robinson47743 жыл бұрын
You say that now@@axelprimavesi but with the right training and equipment, we could get you Volksfest ready! Man there’s so many parallels with what your ‘friendly’ Producers put you through here. There’s no need to regularly change socks but definitely pizza in the small hours, supporting poles to hold you up and at some point a reunion with students who you met once earlier but you’ll all suddenly consider each other long lost life long friends! Be aware that your team will need to once again follow and record your progress. For in my experience together with such friends, you can come up with "fabulous" ideas that the next day aren’t quite so clear to any of you. Odd how that can keep happening... Last tip? Water’s good, oh and so is pacing yourself. See, it’s not so different from the elite endurance experience you’ve achieved here. In all seriousness, well done Axel- you should be proud of yourself. Prost! 🍻

"Genug Lebenserfahrung" ... LGs

I would like to try a 100 km hike, but I am not sure if I can make it in 24 hrs. The longest distance day hike I have done so far was only 40 Km and it took me 10 hrs. I hiked across the Grand Canyon last week, the distance was 38 Km and elevation change around 1500 m and it took me 12 hrs, but none of this can compare to Axel's 100 km challenge.
