There's only one Dwight Yoakam and no matter who tries to redo his music will always fall short.. he's a legend...
@aditiban0026 жыл бұрын
E E WOW, that was exactly my thought that I posted yesterday.. even the same words "way too short"... But then I thought over, that It won't be fair to compare. His numbers are so great that will get celebrated, the best tribute is to cover them....
@paulaogle88486 жыл бұрын

Post Maline wasn't trying to redo Dwight's music, he was playing with him because collaboration is awesome and so are both of these artists.
@aditiban0026 жыл бұрын
KUSTOM GRAFFIX Oh C'mon... This is not collaboration.. This is at best goofing around. And sure Post Malone is super talent, that's why he is on map, there are so many others. But Dwight is in a different league altogether. As for collaborations, that Dwight does a lot... Ca't get enough of his collabs with Buck Owens, Merle, Tom Jones, KD Lang, and there are so many others. Sorry, With all due respect, Post may be talented, but he simply isn't anywhere in that God gifted level. The only young Artist I'm dying to hear Dwight's Collaboration with is North Jones.
@louiserawle89995 жыл бұрын
Adiiti Banerjee..beautifully and respectfully said..I agree A thousand percent.there is only ONE Dwight and I am sure Post Malone feels priviledged to be singing with him.
@bigmoney46356 жыл бұрын
I'm not a fan of Malone but it's good to see a hip hop artist that can respect other genres. Nelly, Eminem, Lil Wayne, T Pain and others have always shown respect and inspiration from rock and country but many of today's rappers don't even understand real music
@niklausharrison99675 жыл бұрын
bigmoney4635 I like all kinds of music. But post Malone has always said his roots in music stem from country and that he would like to do country some day. Although he could never hold a candle to Dwight, I still would like to hear him make a country track because I think he would try and make it an authentic country record. It would probably be more country than what we hear on radio recently
@aditiban0026 жыл бұрын
Ha ha ha... With this Dwight has now proved himself to be Sweetest, most benign, gentlest, all forgiving soul ever.. Just look at him having fun joining Malon in doing this to his song... Look at the two goofing away.. This is adorable...

We as a generation of Americans crave authenticity. This is the perfect example of that. Dwight Yoakam as an artist brought me from the brink of suicide to fight for my people, my heritage, and my home. Belonging is something my generation has struggled with these last few years. This is the apex of that. It's a dialectical struggle that we are seeing in the awakening of our consciousness that the powers that be tried desperately to crush. A purity of soul will come out of this struggle. Mr. Yoakam, is a piece of Americana, of authenticity that has persisted despite the controlled demolition of our culture. This may just seem like a fun video, but it is evidence of our European soul rising to surface. God bless you all, and Hail Victory.

So good to see the boys having fun... But I confess, that I'm not really excited about others covering Dwight originals. Each of his songs is so special , and enyone covering him falls way toooooo short. I'm sorry, of course folks would be covering Dwight numbers, but I don't wanna hear them. I guess I'm being too jealous. And I guess it's not a nice thought to harbour.. But I cannot help feeling this way.... OK, another confession, the only other covers of Dwight numbers I wish I could hear are that of Willie Hag ,Glen and Yessss ELVIS and at times Norah Jones. . And each time I hear a wonderful song I wish to hear Dwight's interpretation too.
@aditiban0026 жыл бұрын
What I posted yesterday is not healthy thought. I'm still not deleting it, becoz, that was honestly what I felt. And it left me wondering .... Now I'm totally positive, I love this video, The good fun the boys are having is so infectious. It's just as great to see Dwight in this reversed role of being the music accompaniment to some one else singing his song. If I had not known him as the vocalist , I would still have totally noticed and loved "this guitarist" , saying he is stealing the thunder here wirh his ease, talent, energy, personality. Dang.. this guy gets to be epic-best at whatever he does.. he just shines the brightest. As for Malone , Great job. Loved it. And I'm gonna love folks covering Dwight numbers, coz it's in a way celebrating him and his works. Dwight originals are so stirring everyway, anyone would want to cover them, and that would be great.
