The Colonizers instigated the Civil War in 1994. Rwanda reunited after the War and made impressive progress in terms of governance and economic growth. Congratulations to Rwanda & the Foreign Minister.

As a Rwandan particularly and African in general I'm really proud of this woman Mushikiwabo, she handled this interview very well''such smart woman'' Indeed Africa is tired of being manipulated by western countries with so called international organization reports,ICC etc...for their political interests and other reasons. It's time Africa to stood on her own...Democracy is not copy and paste what is happening in other countries, like President of Kenya said on gays right during Obama visit''We have our differences''.AFRICA IS ON THE MOVE

That was pure bullying not an interview, and by the way doesn't it seem strange that the only people concerned about kagame ending his term happen to be outsiders? It's starting to get weird. what we want as Rwandese basically doesn't matter. I wonder if they ask the same question to Putin? Brilliant woman good job!

Why not ask about human rights abuse in the USA and the UK? War criminals like George W Bush and Toni Blair are walking around freely. Why not arrest them first, then talk about Rwanda later?

Very aggressive BBC interview. There is clearly an anti Rwanda narrative. Hypocrisy of questioning Rwandan's record of human rights using USA's opinion as a yard stick would be hilarious if it wasn't so outrageous.

Rwanda is doing great other factors held constant. I cannot compare it to any of its neighbors. Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, South Sudan,Zimbabwe. even Nigeria. Too bad it has lots of scrutiny. I wish the scrutiny could be replicated in the other African countries.

I don't know why she accepted some weird, Munster-like provocateur for an interviewer! There is no shortage of normal interviewers in Germany and elsewhere. Just remember that only your words will be quoted later, not the interviewer's bizarre antics that provoked them!

I can't stand these aggressive, disrespectful British interviewers. How about looking critically at the manifold human rights abuses and war crimes by Britain and the British Empire around the world right through to the present day, as well as human rights abuses by the British-established psychiatric and prisons systems, nursing homes abroad and in Britain?.

Again Louise Mushikiwabo handles this totally biased interview with intellect, balance and a touch of the States woman that she is. And as four you Masahwa Katabana, calling our leaders Lunatics won't change the glaring fact that they are leading us out of darkness into the light. Which planet do you live in? Have you had of Umushikirano? That is Rwanda's national dialog where citizens as well at those of you that have decided to live abroad have a chance to put all Leaders to task on matters of national importance. So whatever your growling bitterness is about, get over it and perhaps visit the country whose leaders you insult.

Masawa katabana belongs to the old school of politics when leaders concentrated on the unliberated mental weaknesses of the tribal majority. Rwandan population emerging out of the genocide of 1994 are very INTELLIGENT, WELL EDUCATED AND FULLY LIBERATED IN THE MIND. The current generation of Rwandans seem more upright and forward thinking, a credit I give to the WISDOM of the CURRENT LEADERSHIP under P.K . I believe that the cause of the genocide was solely due to 4 DISEASES existing at the time' BAD LEADERSHIP, BAD GOVERNANCE SYSTEMS ILLITERACY AND POVERTY. The current on going DEVELOPMENT can be attributed to 1, EXCELLENT BLEND OF YOUTHFUL AND EXUBERANT WELL EDUCATED RWANDANS BOTH BORN AND BLED OUTSIDE AND WITHIN THE COUNTRY, VISIONARY LEADERSHIP THAT BELIEVES IN EMPOWERMENT, COMPETENCE, UNITY AND EQUAL RESPECT TO THE CITIZENRY RATHER THAN TRIBE. My general observation is that the few critiques of CORPORATE RWANDA are those TRIBAL BIGOTS who are BACKWARD and ENSLAVED IN THE OLD SCHOOL IDEOLOGY. RWANDA HAS A GREAT FUTURE.
