Data shows that in 2023, China's industrial robot production had reached 430,000 sets, while the country's newly added robot installations accounted for more than half of the global market over the past three years, said Xin Guobin, vice minister of the MIIT. Yet Industrial robots in Germany 2023 was a record year for German automation companies. The German economy reached a new high in 2023 with 28,355 industrial robots installed, consolidating its leading role in Europe. So China makes 15 times more robots than Germany does a year, and it also maintains a 20% year over year production increase, that counts for more than 50% of the world production in total.

They CAN but they have to stop giving away tech, trade secrets, and know how to China. They also need to lower the energy cost in Germany if industry is to keep up. China was only able to compete because the west was foolish enough to give them all the tech they needed.

Doesn't really matter, trade will brake down either way as we move into the new cold war.

@@ZakiHaider-y9o The genie is out of the bottle, the monopoly gained through information is now gone, the sun rises again from the east and darkness envelops the west. Instead of a bloody war of sharing, cooperation can be chosen. We will all see together how useful all these efforts are.
