On the Israeli-Lebanese border, missile strikes in both directions have been ongoing since October. The destruction, insecurity and fear of an all-out war have pushed many to leave their homes on both sides of the border. Hezbollah leaders say they are ready for a full-scale war. What's Hezbollah trying to achieve with its continuous attacks on Israel? And is there any reason to believe Israel will invade Lebanon?

Lebanon should either eliminate the threat there domestic terrorists pose or be prepared to accept communal responsibility for the retaliation that will rain down on there entire nation. If Lebanon cant garuntee there own people to not be a threat then they aren't sovereign and thus Israel would be right to annex and control the region as a whole until they can be crafted into a nation capable of self control. A non state attack originating from within Lebanon is still the responsibility of Lebanon as a whole and the consequences are on the hands of the nation as a whole. If Lebanese want to be treated differently to Gazans then they should establish control over there lands and control the threat originating from there.

Lebanon should not be attacking Israel and neither should Israel need to defend themselves against the terrorists attacking them but unfortunately it seems like they might have to. If a group within my country was attacking another nation it would be my responsibility to stop them as I don't wish to be on the receiving end of the retribution that will inevitably come back here just like Lebanese citizens have the responsibility to control or separate from the terrorists within their nation.
