A great video Sim! I've been using DWR silicone and resins for about 18 months now and heartily recommend them all! I began with making a series of resin 'upgrades' for a 1/33 scale paper/card model Sopwith Pup (rotary engine, wicker seat, instrument panel, wheels and Lewis Gun etc) This year I'm scratch building a 1/6th scale bust of a Chindit soldier to be made entirely in resin. The Sopwith was entirely made with the solid resin you showed here, the Chindit is mainly using the Roto Casting Resin producing hollow castings (and a hell of a lot less resin too!) with the solid resin for all his equipment. My workroom is up in my attic and the one problem I did find this summer was the Liquid Wax not covering the rubber properly but beading up on the surface leading to the second half of the mould bonding to the first. Turns out it was the temperature - an ambient temperature over 90 degrees causes the problem. After the heatwave everything was fine again! Both my Sopwith Pup and the Chindit build diaries can be seen on the DeAgostini Model Space forum if anyone wants to see just how versatile these DWR products are. Just sent off for my third big can of silicone!

Nice vid Sim. This is also something that I've been looking into. I too decided that DWR was the material to go with and if it's good enough for you, it's deffo good enough for me. Really looking forward to the next mould vids - this could open up a whole new area for building. Cheers, Pete.

Great video and very useful Sim. I normally get my Silicone from eBay and it costs nearly twice as much as this company. So many thanks for saving me quite a bit of cash and the company seem very good as I have been to their web site and they sell everything you need in all sorts of sizes!! I am really looking forward to this series of videos on making your own moulds as I have made a couple in the past, but they weren't the best!! Please keep up the great work Sim and remember to Have Fun, Joe

Good evening. Thank you for this great job. I undertook to acquire your articles but I noted that your prices do not include customs taxes. You have to pay customs taxes separately. Is this what to do? Thanks for your help

Nice one Simmo, looks good stuff, I prefer the 50/50 mix, just because i cant see will enough to do the fiddly measuring of the catalyst. You are right pot time is critical, pouring rushed is a recipe for disaster :)

Chronopost required custom tax before sending my articles in France. What do you think about that? Thanks in advance for your clarification.
