Could DW please refrain from suggesting that electromobility is green and combustion engines are not? Both can be powered by fossil or non-fossil energy. My combustion engine hasn’t seen fossil energy for over a decade. Please refrain from populist mis-conceptions!

Well a diesel engine could actually burn coal dust. That was one of Rudolph Diesel‘s first experiments. But they also burn all kinds of non-fossil waste plant oils that would otherwise go to recycling for the profit of someone else.@@332ARA

It might not seem like a safe option, but this particular machine aside, there are eBoats aplenty that regularly ply on waterways. Take the canals of Amsterdam, for instance. Visitors can even rent an electric boat and motor around it in themselves. So it's no longer that unusual.
