These drivers showed ultimate concentration, determination, and skill while also fighting the prejudice of being a female driver.

I hate it when people Michele Mouton 'the greatest/fastest female racer/rally driver". She was one of the greatest drivers of all time (full stop). She isn't 'the female Colin McRae', McRae was the male Michele Mouton. Not only was she insane in legendary Group B Rally but a division winner of The 24 hrs at La Mans and a Pike's Peak record holder. And if you listen to her interviews just the coolest most badass driver on the planet.

She handled Bobby Unser like a beast. After WINNING the Pikes Peak Hillclimb, Unser essentially called her win fake news, stating there was no way possible for a woman to win, let alone beat him (as you can probably infer, Unser had a major god complex). Her response: "If he has the balls, he can race me back DOWN the mountain." Her victory came a year after her first attempt failed due to mechanical failure; the engineer of the team figured out that if the car weighed approximately 100 kg less, she would have won it anyway. The solution: delete Fabrizia Pons from the navigator seat and remove the navigator seat entirely. When she won, she beat the record by 14 seconds (the same interval she LOST by the previous year; she had just bested her previous time by 28 seconds).

My mother know the father of Michelle Mouton since 1970 and she see her grow as a driver and if you tell her if she was the best female driver ? She tell you no ! She was one of the best rallye driver ever period !

This was just the reporter's take about the fastest women racers he'd encountered, it's not the definitive list of greatest women drivers of all time. We agree with you, Sabine Schmitz ought to be most lists of great women drivers. As should Desire Wilson for her non-championship F1 win.
