Not only yammuna river facing this issue, in Chennai you can notice kovvam river which was a popular river for farmers long ago, but now what you can see after ponnamalli the river got polluted by entire city people, still tn govt does not cares of the river , like this in our India all river crossing metro citys facing the same issue, we need more and more waste water treatment plants to secure our river and river beds
