Yes, at a time Indians were in high positions in North America were highly respected in those countries. But for the last two decades India's social justice system helped all to get academic qualifications. But unfortunately they were not taught to obey law and order, civilized behavior among civilized society and to maintain civic sense. Currently behavior of Indians who come here as students and on work permit is being hated by citizens of these countries. Indians are involved in illegal activities, Indian's arrogant behavior towards other communities is annoying them. Moreover their inappropriate behavior in public places making others to hate them.
