D Wade starting a podcast and casually inviting Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, Tony Parker and Pat Riley in the first two episodes is wild. Dude woke up and chose to destroy the competition lol

This was such a wonderful sit down, hadn't heard Riles this relaxed and candid like this in years and years! He also was so happy to be around DWade, he really opened up on his early playing days that was great to hear! Also D did a very nice job in a structured yet casual way of holding the conversation, very well done. Obviously they have gone from Boss to more of friends but that respect is always there - Pat Riley is just one of a kind! So great you recorded this to document his character for future generations - Can't wait for part two! Thank you D! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 M.

It seem the most subpar players have podcast these days it’s great to hear from actual legends.. Hate how most fans turned on Wade because of his fatherhood which has nothing to do with us.. While playing one of the most likable players ever and of course 3rd Greatest SG of all time.. Hope the pod is successful

People always say shit like why are there so many podcast? Yada Yada Yada… When you actually think about it. A podcast isn’t really an art form it’s more of a conversation. And conversations will never go out of style. It’s just another version of listening to stories. There are so many people who inspired me in life who I’d love to hear talk and discuss their life’s journey. That list for me is very long and I think it’s long for a lot of people. It’s just a joy to hear people you admire and respect tell their stories. This was definitely a joy to watch. Absolute legends.

I can only imagine this growing up as a kid. I remember waiting for the paper every morning and searching through all the sections to see if my favorite people talked or said anything (roger penrose, Tim Hardaway, the movie critic section). Then I discovered magazines. Then the internet started gaining traction and I remember finding the development of Indiana Jones transcript where Steven Spielberg and Lucas and another writer sat down and talked about what the character should wear, where he’s from, etc. just right there, the development of the character and the film on twenty internet pages. but damn, actually getting to see people in the profession sit down and talk and have these important questions answered is a whole other level. Amazing.

Pat Riley is the OG. When I got into coaching I wanted to emulate him. Not only his philosophy but his style. Thirty years later I still look at him as what you want to emulate as a coach.
