I am a Chicago Bulls fan for life. Early 90's and late 90's was our hay day. Michael Jordan was bigger than life to me. He was like a super hero. I grew up in Riverside California. We only had access to Channel 9 with the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers games. I saw Kobe at the Forum for the first time in 1997. I told my brother,"this kid plays like Mike!". I later understood that I envied Mike but I grew to love Kobe. He was special! Mike is the GOAT. But Kobe was the resurrection. Closest thing we will ever see to Michael Jordan.

Then when he came back from his Achilles I was rehabbing from a broken leg and it was inspiring to see him come back from the injury. Prior to that players were all retiring from torn Achilles but Kobe came back and almost had an MVP season. After that he became my favorite player. And to top it off he was even more inspiring after he retired with all his content creation and coaching his daughters team

But will got his revenge and got his dunk on kob in that DEN game after those years/injuries came to pass....and watching kobe step up to cover him when he was finally a better player and not just a prospect...you could see the light in his eyes....for bringing his GAME that night...and realizing that deep into his career KOB was willing to go at him. The respect he felt as an actual legit player in that moment it was a good moment from that portland block to trying to go off vs triple OG Mamba and getting that dunk or not HOLDING back just bc its KOBE. What Melo described with Kobe and JJ is exactly what the W is doing to Caitlin Clark. Like, “Oh, THIS her? She supposed to take over? Well she gon have to show me!” Mufuckas act like they’re hating on CC but they’re just showing her shit is different on this level. It’s the game.

I've never seen so much hype for a Jimmer Freddette level player.
