The clear plastic allows the individual mecha to look a lot cooler than previous years, especially Ryusoulger. The combined mode? Eh, not as much. Yellow's arm looks very skinny and I really don't like how Green's used for the shoulder pad like that. I would have preferred if the back of the car folded down and the front separated completely. Also, the chest is comically short. Overall, I think it does look a bit better than previous years, but there are still some annoying issues.

The reason it looks so bland is because of Bandai downgrading the importance of Sentai in their toylines. There was a leak a while ago on /krg/ where a leaker (who corroborated their info with screenshots of the then unreleased Geiz Majesty trailer) talked about the state of Bandai and their three major toku toylines. Kamen Rider remains a good seller, so it remains at the top of their A-list toys. Sentai used to be an A-list line, but after the fall in sales (especially during LuPat) Bandai decided to downgrade Sentai to B-list or B-tier or whatever you wanna refer to is as. The toys are smaller and less detailed because they don't wanna lose money on production. Funnily enough, Ultraman was B-tier for a long time but when they downgraded Sentai, Ultraman took its place. So it's probably we'll get higher quality Ultraman toys come its next series. This is simply the reality of what Kiramager is. It's a Sentai with cheaper toys because Bandai is cuttings costs on the toyline overall because of declining sales. This is why they look so cheap and tiny.

@@wearedyingforthis7413 I thought the fall of sales were more pronounced during Kyuranger, that's why the LuPat toyline looks pretty cheap. And Ryusoulger is the comeback of dinosaurs, which is Kyouryuger 2.0 but cheaper and bland.

The toys were still bordering on A-Tier though. The leaker pretty much said that going forward Sentai toys will be like this. Kiramager is the future of Sentai. Smaller cheaper toys that are cheaper and easier to produce. It's why the auxiliary mecha are just weapons again. Hell, even the main formation isn't technically a five-man combo. It's four. Blue is just a sword.

So I LOVE the aesthetic. But kinda getting old of usually Red's Mech being 80% of the combined mecha and the others being much smaller in comparison, these especially are TINY sitting beside Red's. Especially for teams that start with 5 members. That said Kyurenoh was cool and I overall liked Zyuohger's in how it had two 3 person formations and once they got Gorilla could do two mechs in theory (I don't remember if they actually used them both together in-series). But been a trend since Zyuohger with them pulling this for whatever reason. Hopefully next sentai can go back to something like Toqger, Ninninger, Gokaiger, Goseiger, etc. Honestly considering how the sales for Lup/Pat were awful I'm surprised they didn't go back to a traditional "equal" 5 person mech for Ryusoulger or Kiramager to see if it helped.

The main thing I don’t like is that Blue really isn’t part of the big mecha. He’s just the sword. I’m not against mechas that become handheld weapons, but I don’t think it’s too much to ask that all 5 main mechas actually be a part of the main combination. At the very least, they could’ve had blue attach to one of the arms and be like a wrist mounted weapon.

I think it would have been cool to have Blue become a jetpack or something. Even if they still had the sword mode, it would have been much better integrated. It reminds me a bit of Dairanger/MMPR2, where the Phoenix was just attached to the White Tiger's wrist. Not really a part of the combination, just an accessory.

OtakuUnitedStudio but at least it(Phoenix zord)’s attached to the body and on the main mecha form it becomes part of the armor. My big question with this is what happens if a monster knocks it out of the mechas hand? I think it would’ve been better to have this be a 3 ranger start season and just have land mage be the main mecha.

My main gripes are that blue is just a weapon, theyre a bit too simplistic, and the main combination is a 3 piece with 2 extras rather than all five serving a fuctional purpose Personal preferences, I wish red wasnt the main body or at least was smaller and the rest were slightly bigger, I prefer combinations that arent majorly red like Kyurenoh, and I kinda think there should be a season that uses the Ryusoulger mecha style on vehicles, plus I wish the helmets were helmets again rather than faceplates or masks I do like the return to RBYGP colors and even the colors arent more evenly spaced in my opinion, I do like the colors and that every mecha has a unique function instead of being *body part X* 1 and *body part X* 2

I'm on the fence whether to pick this up. I REALLY LOVE the mecha in show and think this would be a good representation. On the other hand, everyone selling it is WAY overpricing it. The cheapest I've seen it for is 85 U.S. I could get 2 ryusoulger mechs and still have money left over. What to do, what to do?

I prefer it over the Ryusoulger's. The toy line was pretty bland. Beyond Tiramigo, the Zords were very, very meh, specially black and green. And MosaRex doesn't impress me much either. This looks better, even if they are smaller.

I respectfully disagree with you. I am personally a little disappointed with kiramager. I really loved the sheer amount of customization that ryusoulger provided with all of its mech. But, if you like kiramger more that's perfectly fine.

@@nicklutz2439 Sorry for the late response, but I prefer Kiramager for the simple reason that it looks like a team, and not a "Red-centric" mecha again. The customization? The show was pretty bland in that aspect too, even to make the basic formations, some parts are left behind. And again, individually, black, green, even blue Triken and Pink Ankyrose (or Ankyloze), are basically bland, not looking good as "separate" mechas. It's my major grip: most of the toyline are "attaches" or part of the armor for Tiramigo or Mosarex. And even that, if you want to make a 6- mechas formation, it looks clunky. (some KZbinr tried to make a customable 12-part mecha. It look a clusterf%&$.) Respectfully, I disagree. I like Legos, I like mechas, but they don't think too much in the Ryusoulger toyline. It could be better.

It really bugs me when they have one of the zords not a part of the Mecha and used as an accessory or weapon like this one with blue being a sword. They could have easily made blue be connected on each arm by splitting it in half and attaching them in each arm as some kind of super laser canon while also beefing up the tiny thin arms like the yellow arm being way too disproportionate to the body

I don't dislike the designs, but the copious use of clear plastic makes this one an easy pass for me. It's not that I hate how it looks, I quite like the crystal aesthetic, but the use of clear plastic on so many prominent hinges (especially on pink's) makes me fear for it's long term durability.

Because more often than not, it's a large part of the body. A couple times I can think of where Red wasn't the biggest are...: Gaolion from Gaoranger (it was just the chest of Gaoking) Rovoyager 1 from Megaranger (this guy just put on a suit of armor to become Megavoyager; definitely smaller than similar peeps like Dairanger's Ryuuseioh for Dairenoh) Engine Speedor from Go-Onger (he wasn't the biggest, but he was kinda wide since he made the head, chest, & arms of Engine-oh) Shishi Origami from Shinkenger (for being essentially the main body of Shinken-oh, this guy's actually pretty small...) Gingaleon from Gingaman (Similar to Gaolion, this guy was the head & chest of Gingaioh, and compressed to even smaller to do it) Skyphoenix from Ohranger & Hurricane Hawk from Hurricanger (They're. Both. Birds. And they literally form the heads of Ohranger Robo & Senpuu-jin respectively. That's it.) There's probably others that I missed. But for the most part, if it makes up the majority of the mecha's body, it'll be pretty large...and it ain't always the red one to do it.

Honestly, to me, this is the worst super sentai mecha. They did blue terribly, I’ve seen pink becoming the chest done better, and I wish green’s front would become a part of the chest, not a shoulder. The only thing this toy has it going is the crystal forms and how shiny it is.
