Welcome to my review of DX TwokaiOh from Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger. This is the main mecha of the the sixth ranger TwoKaiser in the series. It has two modes, Katana (Based on Shinkenger) and Rikki (Based on Ohranger). It also features multimodes for CrocoDaioh.

The Lupat mech toys are hella solid though (take it from a guy whose dropped a buncha 'em one too many times). In fact, my complaint is that they're a bit TOO solid, the vehicles are JUST bricky enough that you can confidently smash 'em together and apart without worry, but as a result, the toyline doesn't offer a lot of variable play. If it weren't for the spring gimmicks inside, I wager Bandai could've easily swung for better articulation. Nah, it's pretty obvious the cost cutting began with Ryusoulger. As much as I love the variability of that line, in hindsight, the lego-ish nature feels like an excuse to have a bunch of small hollow parts, more than anything else.

I like how Zox's whole mission of returning his brothers to their human forms would lead to him losing his two other forms and both his mecha, so I wonder if Cuttaner and Riki will opt to stay in SD form or gain a way to transform between the two forms until the Tojitendo is defeated.

The gimmick ruins the entire upper torso and I hate it when Bandai uses that Golden Yellow paint as a main color, the silver looks nice thou. I'm a fan but that's just because its Twokaigers

If I were to fix TwokaiOh: -Make Katanar and Rikki able to hold their weapons. -Give CrocodaiOh a better paint job and some sounds. -Somehow make it able to combine with both ZenkaiOh ZyuraGaon and VrooMagine. Perhaps, give ZenKaiser his own flying machine based on Goranger’s Varidorin to handle this.

Ohranger robo's color scheme is blue,black and gold.You're just used to it's helmet being red because it's the base helmet.

I doubt it. Unless we get another mecha that's can combine Zenkai-Oh and Twokai-Oh Together well probably just gonna a get a weapon swap at most as our final mecha. I feel the Reiwa era sentai season are gonna be the ones known for having a lot less even no final combined mecha form just like how Reiwa era Kamen rider season are shaping out to be the ones with simpler less clusterfucky Final forms

Like with the Main Zenkaiger mech, this tries to do too much, in one toy; you can tell where the compromises were made as a result. On the plus side, I was literally expecting The transformation from Katana to Rikki to only consist of turning the figure around. I'll give the designers credit for being a little more creative than that.

sentai mechs have been pretty lackluster for a number of years. when comparing this lazy and cheap design to the incredibly creative and innovative one of say Shinken-Oh, the difference in overall quality is glaringly obvious. I feel Sentai is generally on a downward trend and their budget is shrinking, hence the cheap toys in recent years. I hope they can make a come back . . . I fear for this fandom's future :(.

I agree. IMO, Sentai mecha designs peaked from Gaoranger - Shinkenger. They were still decent for awhile from Goseiger - Kyoryuger, but then everything from ToQger onward has been terrible.

@@brandommario2 kishiryuoh was decent, but i disagree regarding the quality of kiramezin. i own it, and upon inspection two flaws are apparent: it is tiny and the plastic is cheap. it also has a poor paint job and the other mechs of that season suffer from these same issues. i wanted to love it, but i was deeply disappointed with its quality :(. i also feel that Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger as a season was Sentai’s last big budget push before they sort of gave up. yes, the mechs were decent but they sold terribly for reasons unknown.

This is not the worst Gattai toy. There are far worse Gattai toys then this. At least there is a bit of interchangeability and I like the two mini zords.

I think the blue came from the blue lion mecha in Ohranger. Both OhrangerRobo and ShinkenOh have lion mecha as their chests.

The lion/sfinx had blue, yes, forming the torso and arms, and then the mech from the yellow and pink Ranger were predominantly blue (besides the silver/gold detailing), forming the big clunky lower legs. Except for the red helmet and the taurus head on its waist, seen from the front there is a lot of blue going on. Also : the U.A.O.H. unifoms.

After Zenkaioh VrooMagine being the most technical/awesome mech in years (since Daibouken and Shinken-oh for myself), this is a bummer. I was a little miffed by some of the stuff you said in the review but overall nice vid. I'll probably wait a few months to get this, when it's on discount. Between this and Xross Saber's sword I'd rather get that, but their prices are too high for what they are.

Why is Sentai so bad now? The robots used to look so cohesive and symmetrical. These especially look like random kibble with no harmony in the design. Fun gimmicks though.

The one thing that I personally like about TwoKaiOh Ricky is that once I get mine he’ll be the closest Megazord that I’ll have that closely comes from Zeo and I like TwoKaiOh Ricky way better than TwoKaiOh Cutanner.

I have got this mecha and I love the mecha I just hope they being a mecha that combines all three mechas together to make one big mecha I stop buying Hasbro power rangers because they look cheap but the sentai toys are getting to look to become cheap as well let's hope that never happens

To be honest, the golden age of design passes. Sentai toys nowadays are like cheap toys while those in the past are truly holy grails. No wonder why people always spend money for the real sentay toys, not cheap toys. They keep spamming the old glory as a way to attract old customers. F*ck it. I hate these designers, I hate the gold color pirate suit who dances like an idiot with a stupid number on its helmet. Just look at the symbol of frog ninja, how great it is. Big thank to DosmRider for reviewing so I won't waste my hardworking money for cheap ones.

For me, the offness is the crocodile head. Ohren form looks better than Shiken form to me because the head is the arm, which makes the whole mech look better proportioned. In the show, the head size/length can be squashed for Shiken form to make the mech look more balanced, but in toy form you don't have that luxury. Reminds me of how long GaoHunter/Predazord looks in toy form because of the Alligator snout, compared to the squished version in the show.

The Ohranger mode is definitely giving off some serious Ohblocker vibes despite the more Ohranger Robo head. Probably because Ohblocker was predominantly silver with the individual colors as little more than highlights. Shinkenger Mode...is ugly. Shinken Gokaioh did it better. Even the butchered ugly Legendary Samurai Megazord of the Super Megaforce toyline did it better than this abomination. (I suspect that the Gatling gun is based on the arm of Red Puncher/Red Battlezord...)

Sadly these use the very low cost “swirl plastic” which we first saw when BanDai USA decided to not bring over the toys from Japan with Boukenger… which was the beginning of the end. BanDai Japan resisted this cost cutting material and method of tooling for a while but as you can see with the hollow backs on a lot of pieces and obvious swirling, especially with grays and golds, it’s become far too difficult to hit the price points they know they need to keep it all alive in Japan. (A Muteki Shogun in todays dollars would have to retail for $260 at Bic Camera. )

It's way cheaper to use than a full-body silver or gold paint job. Unfortunately even if Bandai had done better with the obviously hollow parts, they likely still would have used the swirl plastic due to rising costs of materials and manufacturing. The only way they can keep selling at the same price point with the same level of detail and quality would be if someone figured out a much cheaper alternative for the plastic.

I might also note that the color of the plastic has nothing to do with its cost of use. Almost all modern toys use a combination of ABS, Polycarbonate, and POM and they cost roughly the same amount no matter what colors you get it in.

@@OtakuUnitedStudio they’ve since gone the other way, and made some improvements via reversal on swirl since I wrote this two years ago. Yes, the swirly plastics remove the “elven magic” from toys… Bandai America used it heavily since Bokenger when they decided to re-create their own tooling rather than use bandai Japan tooling from Thailand, and sales suffered tremendously. Materials always matter, as Lego and sofubi makers have shown us.

I have the same feelings towards my recently purchased RyuTeiOh. It looks so much better in its Draco Voyager mode than in its combined mode and the helmet could have been a lot shinier, like it was in the show.

You're kind of transforming them incorrectly. Did you use the qr code to see the manual? You're kind of transforming them in a weird order for the initial set up. But I agree the quality isn't there but I do e joy this toy its a fun addition to my collection. I keep thinking with each new addition that so much could be done with the body/hung type from the GaoRanger toy, they did a lot with limiting animal body types

Something that I think should be done for the Megazord is that perhaps the bikes should turn into the fins for the crocodile. Making the crocodile into something more like a whale should probably be better.

I liked the mecha when it appeared on the show so it kinda makes me sad that the toy isn’t as cool to feel as other sentai mechas. Especially since this is the 45th sentai with a amazing 6th sentai along with a goofy(in a good way) and interesting take of the main team
