This looks ok but I'm going to see what X-Transbots do with their version before choosing one. It's a shame you didn't put in more comparisons. MP-10, MP-09, And Apollyon would have been welcome.

I didn't think Tyrant was due til next year- so hard to keep track of all these third party figures. Looks fantastic, nothing wasted, nicely folded kibble and looks great with Carry. Got this guy preordered with Kapow (it's cheaper in the long run for a Brit like me). I'm hoping DX9 do Springer at some point, I think they'd really deliver.

Good review, my big qualm in terms of looks was that his head, while thee sculpt looks good, the head looks too big. Now I see he could benefit clearance wise with a slightly smaller head.

While I'm quite happy that this figure has been finally released; I'm not too thrilled with the finished product. The shoulder pads don't quite sell me. I'll wait for the Xtransbots version. Thanks for the review nonetheless.

Those shoulder spikes or squares that surround his head look like they need to lock somehow but bought either way. I've noticed when 2 3rd party companies announce the same character at the same time little details & refinements can seem to get overlooked in an attempt to be 1st to market.

Beautiful figure but we really wanted to see how he stands next to MP-10 Optimus Prime, that is kind of a must with any type of Masterpiece figure and especially Galvatron.

I wish his shoulder pad things between his head and shoulder were a little bit shorter in height. They should add another hole to his bicep part where he can peg the cannon in. It would be cool if the tail part on his back was a little bit more flexible SO you get that idea if you want to turn Starscream into cigarette ashes pose into mind, you can. They should let the knee pads pop out more instead of being stuck to his thigh muscles. That belt, the red eclipse in the middle needs to be a rectangle. For the feet, I wish they would have more joints in it where you can bend the foot and make it look like a foot literally. I agree they need to have another rachet joint in his legs so that way you can get more poses. I wonder how he stacks up against Megatron MP in comparison?

Fair play to DX9 in making a totally new transformation scheme for this figure when they had could have been lazy and just done an upscaled Mania-King from Unique toys who are in effect the same company

I recall that the "ManiaKing" figure was available in an alternate colors that more closely resembled the more "Blue-ish-Purple-y" color (I dunno how else to put it) as seen in Galvatron's 1st appearance in the original '86 movie, and I kinda always liked that color a little better. Do you happen to know if "Tyrant" here will also come in that alternate color?

The #1 fig I've been anticipating out of allot of good stuff in the works. His looks justify a buy regardless of anything possibly negative. Hopefully HotRod 2.0 is WheelJack sized & not Rodimus at all. We have an MP, Carry, & 2 decent Magnus options w/ Stack & the MP. Shelves all across the world say it's time 4 an enemy rival.

Shitty transformation, but WOW both modes end up looking amazing. I'd be all over this thing if I wasn't so sure it would end up getting quakewaved by Tak.

I'm not bragging because its probably not badge of honor but I have picked up just about every figure over the past 7 years. I sincerely believe Quakewave is the best made figure that has ever been released to this point. He's just not my favorite character in the TF lineup so I like several other figures more. BUT if we're talking about craftsmanship & quality he's the best of all time imo. I actually think of any figure needing rebooted (or done for the 1st time) in MP scale he'd be the very last. I was shocked HasTak announced Shockwave. It's almost as unnecessary as redoing Prime in MP-10 scale again.

+Dick Santorum In my experience MP Optimus, Soundwave, & the Seekers are much more prone to losing a finger than QW. I'm sorry you had bad luck w/ QW. I'm happy that an MP version is in the works for you & other to enjoy. I will at the very least go to my local store & check it out in person. If HasTak has something up there sleeve I may get it. ***** Well it looks like they worked on the rubber hose for the new release to make it tougher, that's good. Truly, it just needed to be longer. If you forget to move that flap at the right time during transformation it apparently stresses the hose and it eventually just shreds. But I don't know if they fixed his torso. When you expand him from gun mode it's not unheard of for his top half to just rip right off.

that rodimus is so hideous it's amazing to me that anyone actually likes it.. there's literally nothing appealing about it.. it's super inaccurate, it's got a stupid amount of superfluous detailing with a simple toon accurate color scheme which just makes it look wrong. the spoiler is laughably too large and that head is just terrible.
