The whole DX9/UT/MS/NA branding shenanigans get even MORE complicated now that Newage is expanding into the MPM scale for... reasons. Glad they did it though, their DotM Megs is massive success, unbelievably exceptional in every way (provided you like complex transformations).

MMC Doubledealer is my personal favorite one. Sure it’s a retool that has some awkwardness but it’s still very dynamic and the bird mode is really fun. Missile truck is also very nice

This is my first doubledealer (bird mode is the weakest). So, im fine with it but I won't fully deny the feeling is strange. But, the transformation from truck to robot i can without instructions and i had very little issues (i had more pain transforming MS Vortex) except bird mode

The bird mode is the point. He's a triple changer. It would be like saying astrotrain should only be a train. Sure, it can work, but it feels like something is missing. G1 and fans hobby proved it can work thankfully

Although i am going off the better painted version, what i am about to say should still apply: I wholeheartedly disagree with almost everything you said in this video. Yes, the bird mode is a bit doof, and yes the back half of the truck mode is messy. But for one, plastic quality has never bothered me, so it being bad isnt much of a complaint. And for two, i transformed this thing from robot to vehicle during your final thoughts segment and didnt see any of what you meant. That said, i still enjoyed seeing you rip my favorite toy (yes i like it that much) limb from limb. Also you forgot to mention that skar's attachment peg in bird mode is the same peg that prevents the robot mode from getting 5 degrees of extra downward movement at the head.

It's funny how I was like "wow that transformation looks awful" as I was fiddling with MS's Swindle while watching, and while I like transforming their Megatron as well lmao Hopefully New Age gets on this character at some point for you. I find it strange how this is supposed to be a cheaper figure yet they put in as many steps as MS's more expensive toys, but skimped on the plastic. Actually, I only have a few of MS's older figures but they're the painted versions. Would something like their Brawl be closer to how their figures used to be materials-wise? Because I noticed a fair bit of a jump in quality going from Brawl to Swindle (plastic quality, not transformation quality), then the fellows following that.

How about this...Do a Voyager Doubledealer that is just the Robot & Missile Truck with the faction swapping gimmick in both modes & then instead of the "Flying Brick" Bird mode just give him Knok & Scar as a pair of Targetmaster accessories that can "Pilot" Doubledealer in his truck mode or plug into some 5mm ports for added firepower. The Bird Mode for Doubledealer has ALWAYS sucked & frankly does nothing for the character. There...I solved the problem.

I don't, but I do know that pretty much every other legends company uses better plastic, and managed to tolerance things reasonably well for the most part (with the exception of zeta). I'm not saying it's easy: I'm saying it's not justification for cheaping out and using the material they ended up with
