VERY Cool! Do know that the acid dye you got is made for protein-based fibers (i.e. animal fiber like wool.) Jacquard also offers a dye for cellulose based fibers (i.e. cotton, hemp, cane, and yes, wood) under the name Procion MX. It's generally the same price as the acid dye you got, but will be absorbed deeper and more evenly into the fibers. (My wife is a spinning, weaving, knitting, and fiber dying instructor, and I've learned more about this than I ever wanted to know just helping her set up for demonstrations.) The fact that you used the dye to tint the resin sort of eliminated the need for it to be absorbed as deeply as it could have been, but just tossing it out there. I've been using Procion dyes on wood for a couple of years, and it works very well. Dharma Trading Co. also sells a Procion dye for a lower price than Jacquard, and in a lot more colors.

You could do the re-casting with some dye then cut disk shapes from the corn like 1/2cm and make a pendant, Maybe add some sort of tear-drop shape so it isn't just a big circle.
