Watch how I dyed my super dark black hair to light brown with only a $3 dollar Revlon Colorsilk blond box dye without bleach! This at home hair transformation was honestly the best entertainment I had all quarantine.
It was a sketchy move for me to use the cheapest hair dye I found at Target but it was worth a try to have this fun hair transformation!

I think for experimenting, you were smart to chose revlon. Don’t let the price tag fool y’all. Out of all the drugstore box dyes, Revlon is the only 1 I’ve seen that are truly ammonia free! Others may mark that it is, but if you scan the ingredients, there are in fact ammoniums that are damaging.

I've dyed my hair with box dye twice. 1st time I dyed it pink, turned out great but it lasted one week when it was supposed to last 2-3 months.. 2nd time I dyed it red, and it turned out amazing, it was supposed to last 2-3 months aswell but instead it stained my hair 6 months ago and to this day I still have it. Obviously not that pigmented its subtle, but I'm happy it lasted long. Now if im going to be allowed because my mum is very sceptical about me dying my hair blonde then I'll go for it... I'm super scared because I want it to last long, because I want it for christmas and a bit more to have fun with it and I'm scared that it wont show up. My hair isnt that light, it's a notch lighter than the girl in the video though...

Just a tip: the heat from your scalp Increases the process of lightening so next time maybe apply heat or start from the ends and mids

When first time i dyed my hair i also got a spot like so but i just covered it with other hair by styling 😅 so i recommend everyone to not let the dye clump ....its better if you comb the sections of hair during dying process

TIP for long hair her length buy 2 boxes waist length hair buy 3 and wear a shower cap the heat from your head makes it lighten more. the color is really pretty I just turned mine copper with this technique

Use a BLUE dye mixed with conditioner! It will cancel the orange/reddish tones in your hair and make it looks more blonde! Trust me please♥️♥️♥️

They sell revlon at dollarama. I usually use those to dye my hair back to dark brown haha. The reason your hair turned to a red light brown. is cuz u used a more golden tone blonde. I would go for a medium ashe blonde, if u want a natural/more golden brown. As asian hair pulls out a lot of reds. Thats why u never go natural/golden blonde. dark ashe blonde>medium ashe blonde depending if u want medium or light brown

I use the same brand but I use #81. Not sure why you decided not to color your roots. If you wish to fix it just buy another box of Revlon color silk Ultra light Ash blonde #05 , color again all over, You will like it. You must use an "Ash" blonde to get the look you want. #05 Ultra light ash blonde. Heck I've colored my hair with "Color Easy" lightest blonde from the dollar tree and it came out beautiful , I would not reccomend "Color Easy", for you because it is not an "Ash" blonde.

I think I waited about 30 minutes too to see if my hair would get any lighter! The lightning in my bathroom is pretty bright so my hair is pretty brown but might appear even lighter in some angles!
