I preordered dl2 the day it got announced cus i love games where players choices change the world and are important , and what we got? Give a water tower to the PK's or survivors and the only diffrence will be the look of the place and that there will be PK's or surviors on the street , and the only time when you change the city is well , not even connected to the story cus you go there for like 5 mins and then its useless. Its also funny how the trailer from 1 year before the launch shows the ending pretty much which means they were working on detalils for 1year and yet they changed the game to worse

me too. Should’ve been like this instead of the playable but mostly solid release(solid because while it is good, it has lost its potential to be this version). And the plot should be similar to the first game: Aiden goes to the City in search of Waltz, to help tie up some bloody ends to his past, but eventually, he forgets his entire reason of coming here and instead he helps the people, doing quest after quest. However, water is a scarce resource and the people of the City rally to him to give them their water. You can either help them get their water or give them the finger and help out the other factions like the PK and Renegades, each of them promising Aiden an opportunity to get to him. Either way, you get an opportunity to get to this one guy who fucked your childhood up. You could either aid the Colonel, Survivors(and the Free Folk with their various tasks), or PK. The end involves the death of Waltz, water being given to your chosen faction, and you either staying or leaving the City.

@@smoke_xl3332 Def not true. Depending on who you side in this water mission, (SPOILERS) Old Villedor becomes depopulated and the Bazaar is destroyed. If you side with the Survivors though, Old Villedor ends up thriving. There is still drastically different scenarios, but not what it shows here.

@@garret16 the only difference is that in one the bazaar is destroyed with the pk metro station and in the other the bazza is still going,I don't get the depopulation thing cause I see the same amount of npcs outside.Dont fool yourself there are only a few choices that differ the ending not the people in the word,what you do in old villador has no effect in the central loop and you can only side with 2 factions,where are the wildcard factions they said? Where are the choices and consequences that change the city drastically ,the flooded city was at the end of the game and it is not a good area to play in .The games main story is a huge downgrade from what avallone showed us ,too bad they fired him

@@gmodperson1 The real reason why we didn’t get a true DL1 successor is because Chris Avellone who was the narrative designer and the writer was wrongfully accused of sexual assault in which he was innocent. Techland fired him and erased 90% of his work People found deleted build and assets in the game files and on the internet there’s more than 200+ pages of deleted contents. That’s why we now have a pill of diarrhea (current “DL2”)

I loved to see the E3 graphics and not because they were detailed, but because they gave me a dusty post apocalyptic feeling. The feeling that I was actually in the game and needed water. The characters looked so much more complex and actually looked like they had fear and anger in their eyes. I am not saying that DL2 is bad. I am just saying that it is not worthy to be part of the Dying Light experience. Hell the night isn't even dark, and there is no fear and immersion in knowing exactly how many zombies are after you and seeing every step you take in perfect light.

there was no downgrade. This trailer is promoting and showing off a game that didn't exist then. The trailer is basically a mashup of entirely scripted gameplay sequences to show off their initial conceptual vision for the game, which ultimately evolved and changed during the game's development. But it is unfortunate that we ended up with a game that resembles far cry new dawn more than an actual dying light game at least visually.

However, my main point that I was arguing is that the devs didn't actually have even a near playable prototype build of the game to necessarily downgrade, and that the current release build is an evolution or devolution of their original vision we saw in the 2018 trailer. But, I'm some what speculating as to whether or not they had a somewhat stable build they downgraded/changed and that they didn't completely restart development in a sense to deliver the product we have now. In terms of the actual visual style, the game also now has a filter in the settings to make the colors look muted so that it looks more like how the game looked at E3. Still not perfect, but better than nothing.

I have around 600 hours on DL2, ive finished the game 3 times all with different endings, I've collected nearly all of the achievements, and I've done every known easteregg. Every time I watch this trailer, I genuinely shed a tear. The retail is a great game, but it just doesn't have anything the e3 build has. Theres no detailed streets, not moving trucks that you can jump on, no huge public hangings, no extreme territory change when you side with the survivors or PKs, no dark, gloomy, and perfect atmosphere, no complex PK fights (as shown in this trailer), and the buildings in retail are nowhere near as detailed either. Theres just so much in this trailer that isn't in the retail Hopefully in the upcoming dlcs, we can start to see more of this content. Techland is an amazing game company and im sure they'll listen to all of the complaints of people who want the e3 and do something about it. Maybe someone will make a mod that makes the game look more like the e3 build (someone made one for dying light 1 so who knows)

+ Grappling hook made the first game a joke , completely ruining volitile chases. IMO grappling hook can only be used on possibly "hooks" around the map , on every ledge ever.

@@zak9463 IIRC, people who join your co-op session can give a sort of “recommandation” for he host, so your friends can’t choose, only the host can.
