@@agentnukaz1715 China is extremly strict about videos, movies and games, if there's blood, organs or even any sort of hardcore violence, they will censore it. Zombie games are not very popular because of the censore. You can see a simple exemple, depending on the anime in China, some are censore to the point of breaking the entire anime because its too violent, removing or replacing the blood with white liquid, no bone, no serious damage, low quality animations and else. If Tecent force Techland to do those changes, well the game is fucking dead but i don't think they will because its a western game, if they want to do their own dl2, it will only be in China.

Keep in mind. It would have been bosses at techlands table selling shares not the little guys who put in 100s of hrs of coding and the rest. Unfortunately it will happen the same as it always does. Smaller sincere game companies tend to get bought up by bigger companies that throw silly amounts of money at ppl for the rights its a machine. I think with the recent update dl2 got better, but mixed feelings on tencent, the game was somewhat getting better with the parkour and some physics and gameplay aspects and I hope to HELL tencent doesn't ruin that. Not trying to defend Tencent or anything but their copy games are usually technically playable and fun. Comparing to original western or general AAA titles which really bad usually with barely playable, this winning of Tencent is not as crazy as they take over the industry but it just the original wasn't really paying much attention as simple as delivering the final product in a good state to consumer. As Asian, I knew why we play copy games and keep paying them despite. Because they are simply playable and the online player were massive, so the player doesn't even care about originality or such and at the end of days we simply just want to play games and have fun with them along with other online players. We don't even bother the graphic as the matter-of-fact mobile games usually looks shitty but we still having fun.

Great informative video however i do wanna correct some points you made. Back 4 blood probably would've stopped support if tencent came in or not. Game was way under performing and Turtle Rock was already on the way leaving back 4 blood once the first dlc came out. We don't truely know that but I have a really good feeling it would've stopped support anyways. Also Turtle rocks next game is not confirmed yet. I love Techland and DL2, but I'm kind of at that point where I'm just burnt out. Every time a new questionable choice happens on their end the more fatigued I get with anticipating new cool things. Their latest mediocre at best event and overpriced cosmetic that released with the event, with that silly daily log-in thing to entice interaction for a SINGLE PLAYER game to exploit FOMO, and now with Tencent and their notoriety with them has put me nearly at the tipping point... I'm very unwilling to wait and see what's gonna happen. I'm very tempted to just quit while I'm ahead. Plenty of great games out there, and there's always DL1 and DI2 (haven't bought it yet but plan to eventually) if I need a zombie fix.

Look, I love DL2, it is my all time favourite game besides the original, and it's scary to think it's possible for it to be riddled with Microtransactions just because some old idiots in suits who don't know anything about gaming besides the buzzwords want to make a quick buck. I hope this time Tencent has learned from when they acquired Riot Games and actually allow Techland to be an independent studio, and if any censoring is required, have it apply only to localised areas where it's necessary, but somehow I doubt that. Best case scenario, Techland sees what Tencent is trying to do and cut all ties with them. Sure, they own a majority stake, but what is the point in creating a game if you've got suits breathing down your neck dictating your every move and demanding you to move mountains because they heard "other games are doing it"
