The Good Night Good Luck update was what got me to buy Dying Light 2. I had recently beaten Dying Light 1 for the first time, since I'm a newcomer to the series, and I didn't have an interest in playing Dying Light 2 because I was aware of it being a worse parkour experience, but then I saw this update. I saw it, thought "oh cool, the game is more like DL1 now, I should give it a try" and boy did I not regret it. It sucks that the game's first chase is messed up due to this update, but the game as a whole was extremely fun. From my perspective and for what I find important, most of DL2's game mechanics are now an upgrade compared to DL1. Overall though, DL1 has so many little things that elevate it so much

Tip when you go to saint paul island for the Baba go into church wait til night and go to the court yard and climb the wall and start a chase. climb back up the wall wait til virals and others climb up then jump down into the court yard and stay near the wall and keep their attention. watch how they drop down and commit zombie suicide search them and get the gifts you can do this infinitely. ENJOY!

I got the game and started playing it like maybe a week or two before the update and have to say I like it so far haven’t been able to play much cause work (life of an adult) liking it so far going to get a couple of the bundles down the road all and all anyone who hasn’t played I say get it those who have I say replay it

It still needs a HDR mode yet, its dark in places in the daytime and the prologue is ridiculously dark

I understand that they updated the night, but the beginning of the game for the screamers it showcases that mechanic, but since the screamer is changed the beginning of the game is way less scarier and there's no chase so basically the beginning of the game is ruined

I uninstalled the game less than a month after it released. At launch it was a bug ridden mess and an insult to what techland are capable of and what we expected, following DL1. Sadly nothing will fix the non event of a story or unbelievably vanilla characters….BUT props where they are due, techland have genuinely improved the game a LOT with the latest updates. The game play is now more immersive, smoother, more akin to DL1 and it’s got the essence of DL1’s ambiance back. I’ve re downloaded it and for the first time since it launched I’m looking forward to getting into, and completing the game.

I bought the game after the updates so I don't know how it was. I know now running around at night is difficult. 3 volatiles are always waiting around safe houses and the second you step away they notice you. Ha4s to get things done when you are constantly being chased.

I didnt like datker nights colour grading. Personaly i thought it was too dark and poorly done. I loved all the other updates that make the games combat more like the first game but its actually better now. Movement is superb now too.

Dying light both 1 and 2 are not good. There great. It's one of my most favorite games since the snes and ps2 Era. I'm buscapeX on ps5 and I put in tons of work in my game and welcome anyone who wants to play and kill these volatile harassers with full prejudice.
