The bicycle Easter egg actually unlocks a parkour course where you have to ride a bicycle up the VNC tower on makeshift platforms, pretty fun. If you quit the mission in a certain spot the bike will drop into the playable area and you can ride it around outside of the challenge

This game is really really fun. The main story is a little disjointed but the gameplay and side content is top notch. It is a little buggy at the moment but it's nowhere near something like Cyberpunk and they've already begun working out a lot of the bugs. I highly recommend it, even if you plan on waiting for a few more patches before picking it up.

The devs clearly were inspired by resident evil to make a zombie game in the first place. Nice of them to pay homage to that in a place in the game where most people would see it, really shows the respect they have for the original resi games and their devs. Also I think they publish their own games so they don't have to do things to please big daddy overseer companies like EA. Nobody is gonna tell them off for praising someone else's game.

The Dev Room having the teddy bears reminds me of something I constantly jokes about from the first DL game. In it I always had this personal joke involving the teddy bears being evil and part of the zombie conspiracy. It especially became my personal thing when I found the pink bear that gives a blue print after exploding on you. Hey there is a little bit of a secret at the very beginning of the game. It doesn’t give you anything but it’ll give you a bit of foreshadowing. When you get to the radio you are instructed to wait until morning. But if you don’t want you can tune into about eight different frequencies listening to people of villadore talking about various things including a murder in town.

I love the Easter eggs in this game , even some of the side quests are hilarious. There is one side quest where you help a man who used to be a high school chemist teacher who now makes drugs for renegades. A little nod to Breaking Bad which was cool. This is just filled with fun.

One of the side quests in the game is titled 'Crystal White'. In the quest you have to save this guys son who has been kidnapped by renegades and they want him to keep making drugs for them. He also says that he used to be a chemistry teacher before the pandemic. The guys son has a striking resemblance to Jesse from Breaking Bad, and the guy who asks you to find his son is obviously a nod to Walter White.

With the easter egg where you see the dancing zombie after 9 soccer goals, there are at least two items you can acquire through the secret. One is The Shocker; a decent early game Katana that offers shock damage. I can't remember off the top of my head what the second reward is, but I do know it offers a blueprint of sorts for you to craft with. The Shocker is given to you after 6 goals, and the blueprint after 9.

This bike situation comes from some old interview with one of DL2 creator. The interviewer asked, just for fun, if there will be parkour on a bike in the game. I guess it was so unexpectable, they really considered it.

I think this game is amazing. My biggest issue is a glaring issue with the controls. While doing most of the parkour Aiden is actively trying to commit suicide. The whole parkour mechanic makes you feel like you have no control over what you grab onto. But overall a great game.

The Hoverboard is a reference to Back to the Future, and on the radio Tolga and Fatin talked about a Dr Emmett Brown, referencing Back to the Future even further. Also, the "companion" is Spike, a major character from Dying Light 1. The Doom level you mentioned also has a Force-choke blueprint so you can be like a Sith lord. Lastly, any theories on who the Liquidator might be? Would be amazing if it turns out to be someone important! 🤔

I just got to the inner loop and did the first few missions there and I gotta say, so far most of the fear is absent from the game tbh. You have to get chase level to 3 for volatiles to even be in the game open world as far as I can tell, and no other special types just randomly about either, not even virals chasing you down in the day time they have before relegated to darkness now. Still super fun to play not gonna lie but there seems to be little that makes me panic that isn't scripted
