These new cutscenes definitely fit the game WAY better. Not many developers/games change actual story gameplay/cutscenes. I’m glad techland are putting in the work. I have high hopes DLC2 will actually be something great unlike dlc1 🤝🏽

I love this, small changes unimportant to some but it makes a big difference and feels so much better. This right here is why in-engine cinematics are so superior too imo, you can change and edit them much easier. Here's hoping they keep it up, so far this is excellent.

Yup these changes do make a big difference but i don't think you can edit a cutscene that easily in dev tools. c engine yes because its a fully working tool, dev tools is still in beta and offers so less than what c engine has.

Not going to lie the last change of the cutscene of what happens when you drain the sunken city made a lot more sense and was pretty awesome how they added new details of the PK clothing and armor also could you do the other new cutscenes as well like if they change the prologue cutscene and thank you best gamer Ali. 😁👍

I have to say, I absolutely don't understand the reason behind 1st cutscene change. Nor do I think that new one is better. New Church and Dam cutscenes are definitely better though.

There are many reason why the first cutscene change is better in my opinion. You see the part where they see zombies chasing a survivor and when we finally hear a scream from that survivor, We know he died & then Hakon says welcome to paradise by moving his head. Then the part where Aiden opens the door and sees villedor, the sound effect is so much better.. You see the crow flying from the top of the house, then aiden looking around is also better. But then again everyone has their own choice. I have finished this game so many times that i don't really care much for a change in cutscene.

It’s definitely way better, in the original it immediately goes to exposition instead of letting you take the view in. The change was warranted in my opinion. Makes it feel more cinematic.

I know they probably won't do it, but I would love a huge story rewrite, maybe get Chris Avellone back to help, as the current story is quite good, all the way up to the end where it crashes and burns, half the epilogue feels so out of place since its literally the E32019 gameplay.

I really hope their change the ending like: - You save the city with both hakon & lawan alive and you get the ending you leave villedor along with Hakon. - While if the city is destroy you leave with lawan since it already make sense.

But it wouldn't make sense. Lawan only leaves if you reactivate night runners and help her get rid of her list, because she feels better about the city. In the other option you go with Hakon, because the city is in shambles and lawan prioritises getting rid of her enemies.

Another thing that they added new in the scene where Aiden meets Veronika for the first time to go to the S.A.I laboratory, they added that after Veronika tells him that they can't open the door and they have to go through the chemical components, he gets angry and hits on where did he have to put the key because he got angry

Make Drowners tackle the player and give them a bear hug. A QTE will start ,and the player will have a few seconds before the Drowner pop his spines out. If the player doesn't, then the Drowner insta kills the player. The player death screen will say, "Drowned in your Own Blood". If the player successfully shoves the drowner off themselves, the Drowner will still pop his spines put and will try to charge the player with their arms crossed. Drowners will have slightly less health than viral and can't knock the player down. Their attacks do deal more damage than chargers and can inflict a bleed debuff. The bleed debuff is less effective on tank builds, since thick layers of armor prevent deep penetration. Direct contact (punches, kicks, and park our attacks) when the drowner is charging will result in thorn damage. Most effective way to kill them is using range or heavy attacks to stun them. Glass canons. Needless to say, their numbers should be significantly lowered, and once their tackle attack is foiled, they can't do it again.

Awesome! Glad they’re making continuous updates to the main campaign. My hope is that they’re working on a third DLC that takes place after the ending of the game so we can see how our choices play out and what happens to Aiden. Would be cool to have a new area to explore too. They have 3 more years on their “5-year promise” to do it.

The new Hakon cutscenes are great. The first one makes the game feel like the first one with all the new movement. The second one makes Hakon seem more sympathetic given his new facial animations and the fact that he is not threatening you with an axe anymore. It also seems to give Aidan more power fitting his character since some people accused him of getting his ass beat too much in the cutscenes. The new Dam scene is better because you actually get to see the city get drained and there are no cliche white flashes with the camera work. Despite the original cutscene being around since E3 the context of the Peacekeepers approaching from the now drained city instead of some flatland next to the Colonels compound is a lot more exciting.

Nice of Techland to put in the work. But those are bandages on a lingering problem. They should put their energy into making the game how it was supposed to be.
