I have no problem with dying, my fear is the suffering we go through or having to watch our loved ones go through before we die.

This is a very real fear, one that all of us share. But there’s absolutely no guarantee that we will go before our loved ones. We must trust that the Divine will walk with us if the opposite were to happen. We’re held. We’re loved.

I think, perhaps, for many of us it's also the fear of LOSING someone we love. Even if we can reconcile death being beautiful and not fearing it for ourselves, it's this idea of losing someone we love and not seeing them again that perpetuates fear. For me, specifically it relates to my children and to my husband. Separation from them is a big cause of fear.

My greatest fear is of people. I have social anxiety and people are scary to me. I worry about rejection and saying the wrong thing, so I don’t say anything at all. I crave love, but push it away at the same time.

You're absolutely right, Anita. I was raised with Christian Science and we were taught to not fear disease or death. Jesus dominated those mortal beliefs, healed the sick and raised the dead. I can't remember the last time I've been "sick." I don't obsess on the mortal body. Unfortunately, I've lost my immediate family and even my wife. I'm still doing okay, considering. I miss my wife's companionship, but I still feel she's with me. I'm sure she's waiting for me on the other side.

Hi, twenty some odd years ago, weighing 386 pounds, with type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease, taking 18 different prescribed drugs supposedly to continue to live. Then my doctor diagnosed me with COPD which killed everyone in my family. All gone leaving one. That day my doctor told me that COPD was going to get me also. That day I had an experience that changed me for ever. I experienced a voice that seem to be impossible to know where it come from. As I sit in my pickup about to light a cigarette, just after asking myself why me. Before I could light the cigarette a voice answered why me. In just a few words it said "look at what you're doing. " of course I was was about to unconsciously smoke another cigarette. The very thing that had taken my whole family early. It couldn't believe it, I just shook my head and went back to my cigarette and lighting it. Again, before I could light it, the voice again speaks and said three words "I Love You!" This time I believed big time. After that day, I began getting mental messages, at first they seem to be coming through very fast, too fast to understand with comprehension. I got very upset with myself. I could see enough to know, that I needed this information more than I ever needed anything. Frustrated, I was about to give up. Then the voice came out of nowhere, as I was so ready to quit. The voice in a very calming peaceful way told me to relax and stop trying so hard. So, I did as the voice instructed me to, I began to practice meditation in oder to bring the calmness and peacefulness and stillness. It was hard my brain was impossible to get past. It was always going a hundred miles per hour. Again, I felt defeated, unable to meditate. But, kept trying every morning very early, when there's no outside noise. I finally got it, I dropped off, for two maybe three seconds, but to me it seemed to be much longer. It was so quiet, so calm and so still. I could not believe the feeling of being in that place. There seemed to be no beginning and no end. It was the craziest thing ever. I kept up practicing meditation, I wanted to experience that feeling again. Everyday if it where possible. I practiced every morning without fail. It was like going to the school of love, peace, and calmness. That's exactly what it was to, by meditation I learned how to be. I learned so much about myself, I was given an education on life what is and what it isn't. I tried so hard to share my experience and how everyone can know what I know from my experience. It's much harder to put into words, than it was to learn it. Anyhow, my experience helped me to now live in peace, love, calmness, I still climb mountains and hills and I've lost all my weight, in fact on the 13th of May, I go into surgery to remove extra skin from losing weight. The problem is man, is trying to teach something they have no knowledge of, the true art of being and not being. Thanks for listening, I appreciate it.

I think right now in this world there’s more fear because of wars and lies that governments tell us.. I like to be home. I like to be outside year round I have a pretty yard..pretty nice home. I have little animals that come around birds and squirrels bald eagles on occasion and I love that and I love sunshine and I have a little Chihuahua that loves her sunshine. She’s 13 years old and she wants to be in the Sun in the warm months. So we’re outside winter is a little harder the older I get Sunshine and being outside working in the yard is hard work sometimes but it’s so rewarding. In the winter, I’ve always doing stuff to try to better my home. I like to always be busy, but sometimes I just need to take a break and be lazy once in a while. The world is changing and I hope it changes for good and I think it will have a lot of bumps along the way. Thank you for all you do. You’re very inspiring to me.

I think the greatest fear of all is thinking someday we could disappear into nothingness, what we cal death. Imagine if the world knee the certainty that we never die! I think that would make huge changes in the world. I think we should teach things like this in schools and learn more about oneness and inter-connectivity so we could learn more about how we could help each other more. I also think that we need to change our working system because sometimes work drains us so much that it’s difficult to have enough energy to do the things you like, which translates into not having the opportunities to be yourself. We need to avoid fear and work doing things on the things we love, that makes us feel complete and with purpose. When you love what you do you don’t even feel you’re working.

Hi, I am from Brazil. I want to say thank you!!! Your experience, your life, changed the way that I fell and live my life. Your and many testimonious about NDE give me serenity, calm and hope to live in a best way. Walking barefoot, avoiding sugar and multi-processed carbohydrates, using the orgone box, chlorine dioxide, vitamin D and in the case of cancer, autohemotherapy, all to increase health, immunity and energy, and of course, as Anita said, use imagination, regardless of the current scenario.

As I am listening to Anita, I recalled reading from Zen Master Thich Nhat Hạnh about radical remission of a nun living in Vietnam at the time who was at the “end stage” of cancer. She was granted her “last wish” to come and cultivate meditation and Buddhism at the Plum Village in France with Thầy Thích Nhất Hạnh and the monastery monks and nuns. Without any western treatment, she was free of cancer as she was living and cultivating what she loves the most; she was happy and fulfilled and thus she was healed..

I do not fear much. I do not fear death. What I fear is leaving my son, daughter, and grand daughter behind here in this world that is so awful at times. What will become of them when I am no longer here. They are very independent, but they do love the fact that my husband and I are here when they need to talk and have guidance about stuff. We have a beautiful relationship. I pray they will be just fine without me, but I cannot help feel scared for them. That is the only thing I fear.

Hi! This is your new subscribers Mehboob, I myself really love death, just because death isn't the end of life, after death we lost our physical existence but we don't lost our spiritual existence, after death we get spiritual life which is off course beautiful, actually we are spiritual beings in human body, we must have to leave this earthly body we must have to go there where there's no death, but we'll get to go there spiritually not physically........

I fear the aloneness and suffering that I experience in the physical world. I think death is probably a relief and a return to connection and love. Could you speak about that- about the disconnection and suffering in the physical?

I fear that I am unworthy and evil and will suffer in eternal suffering. I have felt that since childhood. Probably due to my catholic upbringing. Born cursed and with original sin.

I don't have consistent fears, but if one of my kids is traveling or even out driving late at night, possible bad things happening run through my head. It's ridiculous, but it keeps running like a bad movie!

We live in a world where we’re constantly being fed news of bad things happening. Also we’ve read it watched or heard of such happenings. Such fears are normal. There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re just a mother who’s loving and protective of her kids. But it helps to come back to gratitude in the moment. “My kid is here, I love the connection we share, I love hearing them sing…” etc.
