Sadly I think the most realistic thing about this movie is that she was diagnosed after an accident in the hospital. A lot of the time primary care doctors will completely overlook eating disorders unless that's specifically why you're there. I was ednos for 5 years and was never diagnosed, even when I was 90 pounds. Forget about getting treatment now because I'm weight recovered. I don't -look- like I have an ED now, so there's no way.

@sweetpeaginnis When I was in treatment for my eating disorder I was always weight frontward and I had to tell my weight to the rest of the girls who were in treatment (they had to do the same). So that isn't always a rule, not weighing frontward.

it being boring is an opinion...usually when you get good it's not boring anymore :)

If you should come in to a Swedish Hospital like that, they wouldn´t even suggest an eating disorder.....sad but true!

No extra rehearsals and no performances? They may as well tell her to quit the ballet. Aren't most performances during weekends?

@siennavine - LOL but in this case, the psyc prolly took the fashion magazines away cuz they can (in her case) ENCOURAGE body dismorphia like annorexia.

91 lbs as a target weight? Please. All of the other girls in the inpatient unit and I had to be at least 120 lbs.

The fashion magazines would probably be full of superskinny girls that Alyssa would have felt even worse about her body by seeing how skinny the models in the magazines are.

Yes. please weigh the anorectic in sweats...there's absolutely no way that those clothes could weigh 2 pounds...
@CosplayDreams1612 жыл бұрын
But some anorexics know how to work the system. If they are forced to eat in order to get back to a normal lifestyle they will do it. But they usually develop Bulimia.

Heh, in an anorexic's case they are. Because all they focus on are appearance and weight. So yeah.
