Uh, guys? Okami Den isn't a "spiritual successor" to Okami, it's a straight up sequel. You play as Amaterasu's son, helping Susano and Kushi's adopted son, and most of the events are directly tied to the original. And the changing of the Death Beast's name probably doesn't have anything to do with religious references, since they talk about gods and goddesses pretty frequently in both games.

About Harvest Moon DS in Europe. Due to the casino games removed it was virtually impossible to reach the "end game". At a certain point you *need* those casino points to buy new equipment, however the items are extremely expensive and the Memory game only gives you a fix amount of casino points (while the cut casino games would have a bidding/multiplyer system)

@Marc Carran Yeah, a different kind of gambling service, as you're essentially wagering money on getting something useful but will most likely wind up wasting your money on mostly useless common items and/or repeats. However, unlike most gaming forms of gambling, this service isn't even fun to use, so spending money on it is even more wasteful, since you don't even get any entertainment out of it. At least the process of likely losing all your money is enjoyable when playing something like poker. I certainly don't see it the same way as spending an afternoon at an arcade as some people argue (unless you do nothing but play the simple ticket collecting machines), but I at least recognize that it at least provides minor value for your money even when you do nothing but lose.

Interestingly in the U.K. Sonic Rush Adventure got rated 12+ by PEGI just because it contained the word “bugger” which is considered an offensive word over here. It ended up being released in that form. Eventually it did get censored in later versions and as a result the rated went down to 3+.

Interesting video, but referring to these basic localization changes as "censorship" isn't terrible accurate. It's important not to conflate an outside body imposing changes on something with changes being made internally to match the region a media is released in.

It’s ironic that just several years ago game companies went great lengths to keep anything that remotely resembles gambling out of certain games. Now we have games like 2K and FIFA that are just slot machines with a game featured on it.

Jarvis may not necessarily be only censorship; Sometimes names were changed because in English they're too long. The most famous example I can think of is in Final Fantasy IV Gilbert was renamed to Edward and Edward was renamed to edge because Gilbert was one letter too long for the game to display. Though given the space that may not be the reason for this change in this case.
