And Brenda had valid reason to be upset, but her defiant stomp her foot attitude makes me lose any sympathy for her. If anyone is acting like a "stupid little kid", it's her getting engaged at 18 to someone she's only known for three weeks. Childish behavior.

If we had social media then people would be talking about this show over the Olympics and shady politics. This show introduced PC politics to me, but it didn't seem too bad then. Also we didn't have social media and KZbin.😂 Things could have definitely been different.

....Shannen was showing some STRONG acting chops around this period (4:00); Jimbo & Cindy were tying the noose TOO tight on their Daughter's Adulthood (3:22), while Brandon is layin' up with a Married Woman (1:45)..... Brandon got himself out his OWN jam (2:52), let Brenda do the same, 'eh, Jimbo!?? (3:48)

She elevated the material.. and I always wonder how different the show would have been had she remained. Brenda was a multi faceted character.. she had times when she was nice, times when she was a witch, times when she let her heart do her thinking, etc.

I never understood why everyone loved the Brenda/Dylan couple, after he chose to get closer to Brenda's best friend and Dylan never really left Kelly to get back together with Brenda, frankly Brenda was absolutely right to go to London. He wanted to manipulate her.

@user-ww5ui4lo8z Dylan chose Kelly despite all the good memories he had created with Brenda, when Brenda imagined herself being in Wendy's place at the end of the 60s, she understood that Dylan would never leave Kelly, because Kelly needs Dylan and Dylan didn't want to hurt Kelly by leaving her to get back together with Brenda, when Dylan came to pick her up in Palm Spring, Brenda made him a true declaration of love and Dylan made her understand that he did not share his feelings for her, yet he wanted to get back together with her when she returned from Minesotat, when he lost his father he cried in Brenda's arms, when he was not accepted into the college he wanted he calls Brenda in minesota, on graduation day when he argues with kelly about her money, he wants to kiss brenda, when he argues with kelly about applying to college he tells Brenda that he wants to form a couple with her again, when he loses his wife he joins Brenda in London, however when he recovers from the death of his father and his wife he automatically returns to Kelly. Dylan came back to Beverley Hills and he told Kelly that he truly loved two women in his life and it wasn't Brenda, it was Kelly and Tony, I really didn't like this part of this show because this is how the writers had definitively destroyed the couple Brenda and Dylan.

The show was based off of Brenda and Dylan, they were supposed to end up together in the end. They came together to fire Brenda saying she was late to work a lot. She was dealing with personal problems including her father being ill that caused her to be late. They put him with Kelly because Brenda was fired. The writers regretted putting Dylan with Kelly.

@@mluck7901 in real life if your boyfriend flirts with your best friend and leaves you for her, you will do everything to forget him to me it seems logical. Dylan chose to get closer to Brenda's best friend. Rick wasn't Dylan's best friend. For me Shaneen was the best actress on the show and her talent masked that of the other actors, the fact that she was no longer on the show was a chance for Ian, Brian and especially for Tori Speling because they could finally be noticed

I know he says he wasn’t jealous or told her he was not in love but, I don’t believe for one second that he would have ever agreed to this, had he not still had feelings. If he had no romantic feelings then he’d never have agreed to be the so-called bait. How would that have worked? What if she said yes? Then he’d tell her that he was just helping her parents? No.

Jim and Cindy should have been more worried about Brandon how he was having an affair with his teacher's wife and as for Brenda I wish they would have kept Stuart on for her and got her over Dylan and found love and happiness with Stuart because if she was to go back to Dylan the thought of him cheating on her with and eventually choosing who was supposed to be her best friend over her would always be in the back of her mind and the constant wandering of will he do it again.

Brenda and Dylan were each other's first love; but, he was truly in love with Kelly. Brenda was always flirting with other guys when she thought her relationship with Dylan was getting too serious or intense. I think we have alot of revisionist history when it comes to Brenda's character. When they were a couple he was committed to her. He wouldn't get mad with her than flirt with another girl. That was Brenda all the time. She cheated on him in France just like he did with Kelly; but, somehow Brenda is seen as the innocent victim. It's not like Valerie was my favorite character; but, I fully enjoyed the later seasons where it wasn't centered on the Walshs.
