No Jim was totally unfair. He just should have insisted they take a temporary brake for a couple of weeks. After the temporary brake he should have sat them both down and laid down the ground rules in a calm and firm manner. After that he should have gotten over it. It’s never a good idea to forbid a teenager from seeing her boyfriend
