My fiance played lead guitar and was so exceptionally talented, so everytime I would hear a guitar riff, I would cry. I lost him last September, and it has been a rough year. Love this song brother. To hell with part time people taking a full time position in your life! 2 years single and the best growth I've had putting the last 20 years together. Account around 87k, IRA at 31k, studying my passion's and only have to work when I'm ready and wanting to that day due to passive incomes. I just found this amazingly written song and these lyrics are definitely poppin' out to me! I wish that I would have heard it before I broke off my engagement with a man who I spent way too many years trying to make happy and myself happy but knowing deep down no matter what I did, it just wasn't going to work out between us! What he ended up doing to me and my heart is something I hope nobody else will have to endure or feel the pain that I felt for 11 years! I've learned a very valuable lesson, or I should say that it made me realize that you shouldn't just stay in a relationship and keep trying and trying to make it work when you know for sure, deep down in your hurting heart, that no matter how many times they tell you that they promise everything will change, it DOESN'T WORK out that way! All you end up doing is wasting years and years of your life in a relationship that's going absolutely nowhere and we all know that feeling of trying to fight for somebody we truly love and don't want to ever lose! I don't try to change anybody into somebody they're not and if they truly want to change, that's their job if they truly love you! I'm into two months of coming home to deafening silence. 6 1/2 years gone. He started cheating 3 months in. During COVID supported him everything he needed right down to his socks.Cheered him on when he had an interview, supported him if it was a bust. Did all the cooking in cleaning whatever had to be done. He is gone now with her living on the street in outside a pizza joint on the other side of town. I got him off the street initially and that is what he chose to go back to. When we met I was on the street too, I worked hard to get off it. Goes to show how some people are just users and abusers no matter what you do. Him I mean. Alot of the people on the street are good people. He is not.
