Jimin = water, flooded room/tub Jin = space/galaxy, time traveler Namjoon = glass shards, mirror/reflection Hobi = carnival, clowns, amusement park where he was abandoned Jungkook = butterflies, nature/youth Yoongi = I thought it would be something with fire but his mask looks like neon lights so idk Tae = his mask is golden covered by red smoke so I have a feeling he’s the bad guy here... Anpanman is originally a picture book character of a red bean bread man who is the world's weakest hero. He is kind and gives hungry people pieces of his face (made of red bean bread). The idea is that, unlike Superman or Batman, Anpanman is a hero who is always nearby and will stay by your side. This shows how you can be yourself, even if you are weak, and yet become a great hero. When BTS have their masks on, they're showing how they have insecurities they want to hide, but they take off the mask and be the best hero they can be for ARMYs- even if that version of themselves may seem "flawed" or "weak". I think this song really embraces their message that they've continued to enforce since their debut- to help the youth and their fans, Adorable Representative M.C for Youth (ARMY), through the vulnerable times of their lives. BTS sacrifice a part of themselves by showing fans their insecurities and doubts. They've said before that they should also love themselves- if they don't, the message of their album would be a lie, so in order to truly show fans the meaning of self-love and acceptance, they show fans that they are as insecure and vulnerable as we are. (ex: Burn the Stage was filmed to show fans a more "raw" side of BTS's lives. They wanted to show fans more than just the good- they wanted to show the bad as well.) I think that's why ARMY and BTS have such a strong bond. idk tho this is just a theory
