you forgot his biggest achievement . Winning European Championship ( national teams) with a country that no-one thought had 1% of chance of winning (at age 18...he already got legendary status in his country for doing impossible). And currently he is leading Slovenia to its first basketball medal on olympics.

Ik his game is mainly iq, but idk why people act like this man isn’t athletic. He bulldoze you when he drives he’s actually really strong. He has a quick first step and hides the ball good. That and he has a nice handle and can get anywhere on the court

I live in Madrid and after watching this video wanna pinpoint a couple of things. In Real Madrid Luka's minutes where fully limited in the early years with pro team, staff knew about his potential but they knew Luke needed to full develope his body and game with pros and specially try to humble Luka. He was 16 and nobody want him to make wrong choices. He was learning under the wings of some of the best spanish players ever including former NBA players as Rudy Fernández (Portland, Denver) and Sergio Rodríguez (Portland, Sacramento). Only when he was almost 18 and the team was plagued with injuries, the coaches gave him the wheel and let him play with no time restrictions and command the team, rest is history.

As a European fan I feel like I should add some things: Luka is not the most successful or most decorated Euroleague player, but that's normal, considering he had a relatively short EL career. Most of Europe knew he was special. Not a lot of teenagers make the roster of the teams like Real Madrid. I have no idea how NBA analysts sceptical of Luka overlooked the fact, that pretty most of the top European prospects drafted into the NBA were considered raw prospects in the Euroleague - Dirk, Parker, Giannis, Jokic, Bargnani - did not achieve anything in Europe, didn't play for the big clubs. There are exceptions, of course, like Pau Gasol. Now compare that to Luka's resume: MVP, final 4 MVP, champion, EuroBasket champion. Kid won everything in a couple of seasons. And yet, some ""analysts"" still doubted him.

The american press underrating Doncic and saying that he wasn't number 1 pick material had me laughing to tears on his draft season. There's a premium sports channel down here in S. America that broadcasts ACB and Euroleague games, and with a couple of matches you could see that Luka was going to be the top prospect of the decade and a future HOFer.

Nice video, buddy. But you should check on that "barely getting minutes at Real Madrid" again. in the 2016-2017 season he played about 20 minutes, in 2017-2018 25 minutes in a league with only 40 mintes playing time compared to 48 NBA minutes. He was the integral part of Reals offense and won them multiple titles and was named Euroleague MVP. And remember, born in 99 we are talking about a 17 or 18 year old yound man in that time :-) So obviously he got playing time at Real at a decent level like 63% of the total time, which would be about 30-31 minutes in NBA timing on 4*12 minutes.

This dude signed like a 205m 5 year extension with the Mavs. In my opinion, Luka will probably improve and improve provided he stays healthy or AT LEAST maintainst his incredible performances but he's unlikely to get anywhere close to the championship because the Mavs back office hasnt done anything to show theyre serious about building a fortress around Doncic to actually compete with the big dogs. Craziest part is, when this guys 5 year contract ends, he'll just be entering his athletic prime and would be able to move to any squad in the league because his performances warrant that respect. In 5 years some incredible players will have retired and entered the last years of their careers so theyll be looking for that last push for a chip which will provide incredible players for Doncic to lead to the final. Be that with the Mavs or elsewhere

The guy is great, and that's it.The coaching change at Dallas really paid off. That is not surprising,we talking Kidd. He has been to the finals twice.

They should write a book targeting chilrdren at the age when they realize they are individuals and have to draft a life plan. What an amazing example for inspiration to children. It's not color or money but choices he made with one of the greatest personal drive at such a young age.

I"m here viewing Luca for the first time to see what all the hype is about. If I had anything to say about it, I think I'd let Luca seek out potential teammates. Let the team develop together.

Watching this before the Mavs face Clippers this afternoon at 1:30. Just a regular season game but as a Luka fan, this matchup's history runs deep. Soon, Luka will definitely his revenge against the Clips in the playoffs (hopefully as a Maverick still 😂)

Of course the Mavs knew Luka had potential, they did it with Dirk being a European player. It's kind of nice also to see that Dirk's last year is Luka's rookie season. Like a premonition that things will get better in Dallas.

For me the suns still made the right choice having booker on the roster. If Luka comes to a point where they didn’t Jordan becomes number 2. Kings front office is trash tho.
